Psalm 5:1-12
[1]Listen to my words, Lord,
consider my lament.
[2]Hear my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.
[3]In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.
[4]For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;
with you, evil people are not welcome.
[5]The arrogant cannot stand
in your presence.
You hate all who do wrong;

[6]you destroy those who tell lies.
The bloodthirsty and deceitful
you, Lord, detest.
[7]But I, by your great love,
can come into your house;
in reverence I bow down
toward your holy temple.
[8]Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness
because of my enemies—
make your way straight before me.
[9]Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
their heart is filled with malice.
Their throat is an open grave;
with their tongues they tell lies.
[10]Declare them guilty, O God!
Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins,
for they have rebelled against you.
[11]But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
[12]Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

Isaiah 9:1-7
[1]Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the nations, by the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan—
[2]The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of deep darkness
a light has dawned.
[3]You have enlarged the nation
and increased their joy;
they rejoice before you
as people rejoice at the harvest,
as warriors rejoice
when dividing the plunder.
[4]For as in the day of Midian’s defeat,
you have shattered
the yoke that burdens them,
the bar across their shoulders,
the rod of their oppressor.
[5]Every warrior’s boot used in battle
and every garment rolled in blood
will be destined for burning,
will be fuel for the fire.
[6]For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
[7]Of the greatness of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
will accomplish this.

Informed are the CAO Iganga Local, Chairman LC Vs, CAOs RDCs and Production Officers for the following districts: Iganga, Mayuge, Jinja, Luuka, Kamuli, Namutumba, Bugweri, Budaka, Butaleja and Tororo. Deuteronomy 28:1-10
[1]If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.
[2]All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:
[3]You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
[4]The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
[5]Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.
[6]You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
[7]The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.
[8]The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
[9]The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him.
[10]Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you.

for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet,
till her vindication shines out like the dawn,
her salvation like a blazing torch.
[2]The nations will see your vindication,
and all kings your glory;
you will be called by a new name
that the mouth of the Lord will bestow.
[3]You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand,
a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
[4]No longer will they call you Deserted,
or name your land Desolate.
But you will be called Hephzibah,
and your land Beulah ;
for the Lord will take delight in you,
and your land will be married.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5
[1]And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.
[2]For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
[3]I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling.
[4]My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,
[5]so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.
