Today reminds us of the special day when the European Union Team visited Gulu City and pledged their full support for the Gulu City Oktoberfest concept. Their encouragement strengthened our vision and confirmed the international value of this festival. 165 days to the official opening of the Gulu City Oktoberfest, 3–12 October 2026.
Theme: Celebrating Culture, Creativity, and Global Friendship.
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Odong Romeo has officially confirmed his performance at this year’s festival. His participation reflects our continued commitment to promoting cultural talent, strengthening regional cooperation, and celebrating artistic excellence.
Mr. Romeo is one of the best Lakubukubu singer. He performed in the Gulu City Oktoberfest 2025, where he made a strong contribution to the festival’s success. His song Yoo Leng, now one of the most popular songs listened to across Uganda and beyond, was selected as the official advert soundtrack. His song Wang Acel also supported the cultural parade that united communities across the city.
This year, Mr. Romeo returns to Gulu City Oktoberfest 2026 with full energy. He will be present and performing live on stage, adding value to our international multi-cultural celebration.
We appreciates his continued partnership and looks forward to welcoming him once again.

We are pleased to inform the public that TEMPRA OMONA, one of the pioneer Contemporary singers from the land, has confirmed his performance at the forthcoming Gulu City Oktoberfest 2026. We appreciate his strong contribution to the success of Oktoberfest 2025, where he supported the festival in many important ways. We congratulate him for his great performance and thank him for lifting our cultural pride. The Acoli community loves and celebrates him for making us proud. His return adds more energy, culture, and friendship to this year’s international multi- Cultural celebration.
