PVI is a Community Based Organization that provides a platform for volunteers to support rural education

Partners and Volunteers Initiative Uganda is an independent, indigenous, non-sectarian, grassroots, non-political, community based volunteer service organization committed to providing a platform for local and international volunteers to transform lives through voluntary service. The organization is registered with Gulu District Local Government Community Service Department number CDR/5045
The organization was founded on the idea that we the local community members can tap local resources using local means to address our local problems. The organization formally started functioning in November 2012 and got registered in February, 2013

On Saturday, all literary enthusiast will join Gulu Univetsity for a distinguished lecture as we celebrate Lawino @ 60 from Song of Lawino.
We expect notable scholars on Okot p'Bitek and his writings from Makerere University, St. Paul and Nairobi University, in Kenya Juba University, South Sudan and Yes, our own Gulu Universiry to mention but a few.
We will also celebrate the life and works of Okot p'Bitek by leading our guests to his grave site and there after panel discussions at Gulu University.
Come ready to witness the once in a lifetime debate between CJ Owiny Dollo (Emeritus) and Prof. Lo Lyong in defence of Lawino.

Are you a Poet? In an effort to mobilize our community to promote, protect and plant more trees through creative writing; Author Aliker Publishers sends out a poetic call to all poets to write a poem themed: Trees and Memory.
This call is inspired by the two trees at Opaka Forest Reserve, as you approach Gulu.
The name Opaka & the two trees remind us of the two-decade conflict between the LRA and Government of Uganda.
Now that the guns are silent, nature can help us tell our story. We believe nature is a silent witness to our story.
We hope through this community project, we can promote, protect and plant more trees to tell our story.
Well told stories don't die and so will our stories on trees and memory.

This by far, is our finest work and one piece of publishing work that launches us into the league of authentic Ugandan publishers.
This has been an incredibly successful year in our publishing journey.
