We are a youth led initiative registered under the directorate of community based services of Wakiso district under registration number: WCBO/340/11. it is located in Kyankiima village which is an LC village in Gaya
za parish in Nangabo subcounty Kyadondo East Wakiso district-Uganda. It will provide a basic background for the development of youths elsewhere from the lessons that may be learnt from the orgarnisation and the strengths of the Kyankiima community and the community at large. key KYEP objectives
Youth realisation of own talents. It is important for the project to notice and extend the youths abilities since they are talented and may be skilled spheres. The programme will create an arena through which their skills can be developed and realised. Developing health and sanitation issues. Helping the youths understand the cotent of community reproductive health so as to increase awareness and promote health. Most importantly establishing strategies to control HIV spread. Creating youth projects that will engage them and empower them as they support the community as a whole. Projects like sensitisation programmes on health issues and poverty fight. Establishing income generating projects to act as demonstrations to the youths on how they can be self employed. Such projects may include> piggery, poultry farms and art work. They can also be taught financial management skills as regard to better investment and saving. Promoting gender equality for it is key for development. KYEP intends to extend gender sensitive ideologies into Kyankima youth so that they serve as an example to the community. Which may lie in the struggle against gender based violence, neglect and abuse. Promoting and developing the spirit of collective responsibility. Having the youth work together in the mantainance of morals, participating in communal and voluntary work. Resolving social conflicts where there is youth involvement.
