Childrens books are a powerful tool enhancing the brain development of a young child, especially their all-important language skills. Stories not only bring happiness and enjoyment, but also add new words to a child’s vocabulary, help them develop and practice their comprehension, and lay the foundation for them to understand the concept of reading.

Save Shine Africa we are currently supporting the project of Reading to learn project. The goal is to build english speaking, opening children's minds in impoverished community like ours.

The big thanks goes to Ms Jones who donated textsbooks to children under Save Shine Africa Care. Thank you so much.

The fact about period poverty!

For many rural children, a period is a set back. Save Shine Africa (SSA) in partnerdhip with Christine Girl Project Uganda (CGPU) we’re trying to turn “those days of the month” into a normal days to a girl child.

SSA and CGPU we want to help end period poverty and tackle the stigma and shame connected to period in schools around our communities.

WHY? Because 84% (more than 4 in 5 teens) in our impoverished communities have been enable to afford period products. Many girls miss 3 to 4 days of school because of their period.

SSA and CGPU we are delighted that at least we have tried to reach in some of schools providing free menstrual pads to impoverished girls in rural schools.

No girl should miss school because of their period, so it’s important everyone to know about the Save Shine Africa and Christine Girl Project Uganda (SSA & CGPU) free period products program.
