We demonstrated how to conserve moisture by reducing evaporation through mulching to Galekuring farmers group in Lobule as the region faces climatic changes.

Mulching helps to prevent soil cracks and exposing of roots to unfavorable temperatures that necessitates drying and dying of crops.

A mulch cover is beneficial in enhancing the activities of soil organism such as earthworms.

In response to the urgent need for climate smart agro inputs,we are exploring innovative strategies ensuring last mile access through Agents.

The innovation is contributing to swift access of agro inputs by small holder farmers in the communities.

This strategy basically targets areas in rural settings .As Uganda journeys towards food security,we remain commited in ensuring last mile access to quality climate smart agro inputs .

Today ,we supported a total of eleven Refugees in raising shade and training them on the importance of timely weeding.

We also encouraged them to invest in agro chemicals since the implementing partners provide seed and extension services.

Agro chemicals are sustainable agricultural practices that help farmers produce more by enhancing crop yields and improving their resistance to unfavorable climatic conditions.

Yesterday,we had enterprise selection with Hope business Savings group at Zone 1 ,Yumbe District.

During the discussions,we identified areas of competitive advantages,selection of type of farm,physical facilities to be used with each enterprise,and SWOT (Strength,Weaknesses,Opportunities and Threat) analysis.

Enterprise selection is an important exercise for farmers to undertake since it allows for information gathering and market research for planing and action.

We delight in the good of the community and we are committed to helping and educating farmers on how best to maximise yields and make farming a profitable venture.

Today,we demonstrated how to transplant tomatoes with Nyomuru organic farmers group.

We engage in practical demonstrations in order to give hands on skills and experiences that can never be forgotten and we also encourage individual farmers to replicate the skills in their farms .
