Mariana is a ceramic artist in our community, and we're so glad to introduce her to you.

Working with clay for many years, she explores how Ukrainian art is changing through the lens of women's experience. Her question is a quietly powerful one: how does a woman perceive contemporary art, how does she shape it, and what place does she hold in it today? She looks for the answers through philosophy and psychology.

💬 Preparing for Cultural Speed Pitching: a quick guide

At our online event on 26–27 June, one of the highlights is the Cultural Speed Pitching (Matching) sessions – a format where participants deliver short self-presentations to the whole group to find potential partners, collaborators, or team members.

If you'd like to pitch actively, here's what to prepare:

✦ Your name, country, and what you do (artistic practice or role in the cultural sector)
✦ One current project or idea you're developing
✦ What kind of collaboration or connection you're looking for (be as specific as you can)
✦ How people can reach you after the session

Aim for around 60–90 seconds. Passive participation (as an audience) is more than welcome; you are the one choosing the level of engagement on the day.

The working language is English but your ideas and your work transcend any language. 🌍

The Ukrainian Woman project continues supporting artists, cultural professionals, and organisations in strengthening the visibility of their cultural initiatives across Europe ✨
The second part of the our guide is dedicated to the promotion of project results and explains: selection criteria for promotional support project eligibility conditions, available promotion formats within the project framework
Selected initiatives may receive:
participation in online exhibitions and presentations
promotion through U-Woman communication channels
media coverage in Ukraine and Europe
presentation opportunities during the final conference in Krakow
The guide is intended to help project teams expand international visibility, strengthen cultural cooperation, and share their creative results with wider European audiences.

The “Ukrainian Woman” project invites female artists and cultural professionals from Ukraine and across Europe to apply for the first Summer Schools 2026 in Krakow.

The Summer Schools programme combines:

✨ Online consultation: “From Idea to Project”
This was not a lecture and not just networking. Together with the participants, we worked on:
🔹 project structure
🔹 formats
🔹 partnership logic
🔹 idea development
🔹 preparation for international collaboration

During the session, one thing became very clear: many strong ideas already exist. But often it is the lack of structure, format, or partners that prevents projects from moving forward.

We discussed: how to transform events into sustainable formats, how to identify development potential, how to prepare projects for collaboration, matchmaking, and international partnerships.

Thank you to all participants for your openness, active engagement, and willingness to work on your projects together 🤝

This is another important step: from acquaintance and community to real cooperation, project development and international partnerships.

“Від ідеї до проєкту”
Це була не лекція і не просто нетворкінг - разом з учасницями ми працювали над:
🔹структурою проєктів
🔹форматами
🔹партнерською логікою
🔹розвитком ідей
🔹підготовкою до міжнародної співпраці.

Під час сесії стало дуже помітно, що багато сильних ідей уже існують. Але часто саме структура, формат або відсутність партнерів не дозволяють проєкту рухатися далі.

Ми говорили про те як перетворювати події у формати, як бачити потенціал розвитку,
як підготувати проєкт до взаємодії, matchmaking та міжнародної співпраці.

Дякуємо всім учасницям за відкритість, включеність і готовність працювати над своїми проєктами 🤝

Це ще один важливий крок: від знайомства та спільноти - до реальної співпраці, розвитку проєктів і міжнародних партнерств.
