🔌 10 Voltage Stabilizers for Medical Stabilization Points — Project Completed! 🇺🇦+🇫🇷

Kyiv Lions Club is grateful to Francoise Dotto who organized the fundraising with Lions Club Nice Massena , France, making it possible to purchase 10 automatic voltage stabilizers for Ukrainian medical stabilization points in Donetsk direction.

Medical front line teams operate in areas where there is no electricity and must depend heavily on generators. However, fluctuations in the electricity produced by generators can affect sensitive modern medical equipment. Voltage stabilizers help provide a stable and reliable power supply, allowing doctors to safely use the devices they need while treating wounded patients.

The 10 stabilizers have been distributed among four medical teams, helping them to continue their critical work - saving lives of our defenders.

Every piece of equipment that keeps a medical device functioning can ultimately help save a life.

Kyiv Lions Club has received and distributed a valuavle shipment of humanitarian medical aid, delivered by Jack Triepels!

A heart-felt thank you goes to Marjon Cals, Tanya Iakhnovska, St. Oost Europa Enter-Rijssen-Wierden , Zhenia Patselia , Maus Westerbaan Yolke Timmermans Jack Triepels, for their incredible effort in gathering these critical supplies.

Thanks to this dedication hospitals have received an important and significant assistance:
- ☆ themodialysis supplies;
- ☆ catheters and catheter sets;
- ☆ dressings;
- ☆ bandages;
- ☆ Consumables for anaesthesiologists;
- ☆ enteral and parenteral nutrition;

and other medical supplies—to medical centers across Ukraine:

To ensure zero waste, expired supplies were safely passed along to support a local animal shelter.

In June, the Kyiv Lions Club received a shipment of humanitarian aid delivered by Jack Triepels.

Marjon Cals , Tanya Iakhnovska , St. Oost Europa Enter-Rijssen-Wierden, Zhenia Patselia Jack Triepels , Maus Westerbaan , and Yolke Timmermans collected the vast majority of the items shipped.

📦 Aid Received & Distributed
Together, we received and distributed a wide range of essential supplies, including mattresses, heaters, diapers, clothing, toys, furniture and medical beds for the hospital .

30 inflatable mattresses to prevent bedsores:

Delivered to the National Science Center of Radiology, Hematology, and Oncology
As well as Hospital in Zaporizhya and
Hospital in Chernigiv

• 80 Electric Heaters: These were distributed across numerous medical and community facilities, including:
◦ Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital
◦ Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology
◦ Kyiv Children’s Hospital #2
◦ National Science Center of Radiology
◦ Zaporizhzhia hospital
• Hospitals in Kyiv
◦ Khmelnytskyi Kindergarten

• Clothes & children's car seats, walkers : Handed over to the Center of Kherson Citizens in Kyiv to support displaced families.

Children's hospital # 2 received the toys.

Successful completion of the project supporting the rehabilitation department for children of the National Cancer Institute.

Through the immense generosity of our dedicated Kyiv Lions Club follower from the USA, Jeff Honea, we have delivered rehabilitation equipment, including a massage table, an orbitrek, a stepper, and a massive volume of specialized orthopedic devices to aid children in their recovery journeys.

• Lion Lilya Golota expertly handled the extensive administrative workload, ensuring strict adherence to all charity regulations, reporting, and financial processing.

A massive thank you to Anneke, Maus Westerbaan, and Jack Triepels for bringing comfort and smiles to the children of the Smila Boarding School! Смілянський дитячий будинок-інтернат

Thanks to an extraordinary international teamwork effort, children with special needs at the Smila Internat in Ukraine have received crucial daily essentials to make their days brighter and more comfortable.
Here is how this wonderful project came together:
• Anneke (Netherlands): Spearheaded the effort by lovingly collecting and organizing clothes, cozy pajamas, new underwear, and essential diapers tailored for the children's daily needs.
• Maus Westerbaan: Provided crucial support and backing to make this project a reality.
• Jack Triepels: Took on the massive task of logistics, delivering the packages to Ukraine.
Because of their generosity and hard work, these children now have the comfort, dignity, and warmth they deserve every single day.

DRIVERS WANTED. SEPTEMBER 2026.

Dear all expats and group members,
As you may know ‘Jeeps for Peace’ have been providing rescue vehicles to Ukraine’s response groups along with critical aid since the full invasion started. To date we have delivered over 750 ! But we don’t stop. Our next convoy departs the UK end of September 2026 and I want to recruit a SPECIAL GROUP OF OLD EXPATS AS DRIVERS! Many of us haven’t seen each other in decades and I hope this trip will bring many of us back together again and for such a worthwhile cause.

Each driver will need to contribute 800£ for a five night trip through Europe. This includes ferry crossing, hotels, breakfasts and dinners, bus and logistics, insurance etc. we are considering a faster and cheeper option but for now we go with what we have always done.

Are you interested??? Please DM me and I’ll put you down on the ‘provisional’ list and then we will provide you all information and answer all your questions before you decide.

🚚 Another Humanitarian Shipment from the Netherlands Has Arrived! 🇳🇱🇺🇦

Thanks to the inspiring dedication of our Dutch Lions and an incredible team of volunteers, another vital humanitarian shipment has reached Ukraine.

Highlights of this remarkable shipment:

👁️ Modern Ophthalmological Equipment

Following a request made in March by two hospitals in Odesa and Kyiv, brand-new diagnostic ophthalmological equipment has been delivered. Generously funded by the Lions Netherlands Foundation and Fight for Sight, and made possible through the initiative of Maus Westerbaan, this equipment will enable doctors to diagnose eye injuries at an early stage, provide timely treatment, and help prevent blindness in thousands of patients injured as a result of Russian aggression.

🧒 Care for Children

Comfortable children’s underwear, generously donated by Anneke Kok, has been delivered to the Smila Boarding School for Children with Special Needs.

🏥 Bringing Comfort to Hospitals

Beautiful paintings have been donated to brighten the wards of hospitals treating wounded patients, bringing warmth and hope during recovery.

⛺ Supporting the Ukrainian Patriot Children’s Camp

A significant part of this shipment is dedicated to equipping the new children’s camp run by Lana Nicole Niland and Ukrainian Patriot, including:

🚲 Bicycles for outdoor activities and recreation

🪑 Garden furniture to create welcoming outdoor spaces

🧩 Puzzles and educational games for children

🍳 Complete kitchen equipment and supplies

🛏️ Clothing and bedding for displaced families and refugees

Together, we are building hope, bringing smiles, and strengthening communities.

Post of gratitude from the Emergency Hospital.

Please support Kyiv’s hospitals that are not receiving adequate support from the government.

There are many wounded people in Kyiv, and some hospitals are running short of even the most basic medical supplies.

They are lacking even basic wound dressings and bandages.
