Energy Independence for Life-Saving Points 🇺🇦⚡️

We are grateful to a generous donor from the Netherlands, supported by Maus Westerbaan, who wished to remain anonymous, for supporting our "Energy Independence for Life-Saving Points" project. Part of the 10 000 euros donated went to purchase two portable power stations and a generator.

🔹The generator is working at the Stabilization point in Zaporizzhya area

🔹 Power station 1 is at the mobile hospital in Eastern Ukraine, ensuring medical teams continue their critical work during power outages.

🔹Power station 2 equips ambulance vehicle evacuating wounded patients in Zaporizzhya area.

Reliable access to electricity can mean the difference between life and death in emergency and frontline conditions. These generator and power stations will help medical teams save lives when every second counts.

Humanitarian aid delivered where it is needed most 🇺🇦

Kyiv Lions Club has received another valuable humanitarian shipment from our strategic partners at Association Support Action Ukraine (SAU, France).

The shipment included bandages, medical supplies, rehabilitation items, otoscopes, mattresses, syringes, antiseptic wipes, medical razors, diapers, plasters, dressing materials, medications, and other essential healthcare items.

Our Lions and volunteers worked together to receive, sort, pack, and deliver the aid to:

* Hospital in the Pokrovsk area
* The Mobile Medical Unit of the Hospitallers Volunteer Medical Battalion in Kharkiv area
* Sumy Hospital
* Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery
* Military hospital in Kyiv

We extend our sincere gratitude to SAU and everyone involved, who donated the medical supplies and those who donated money to pay the transport.

Together, we continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing the greatest challenges.

​📖 Knowledge is just as powerful as any tactical gear on the battlefield.
​🤝 Kyiv Lions are supporting the National Army Academy (Національна академія сухопутних військ імені Петра Сагайдачного) in Lviv by providing their students with brand-new, high-quality English language study books!

​🎯These textbooks will help future officers:
🔹 ​Master interoperability during joint international training exercises.
🔹 ​Navigate complex technical manuals for modern western equipment.
🔹 ​Coordinate seamlessly with foreign partners and coalition forces.

🤝 Kyiv Lions Club Site Visit: Supporting the Most Vulnerable in Vasylkiv

​The Kyiv Lions Club recently conducted a vital site visit to the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Vasylkiv Regional Council.

​This dedicated department serves as a crucial lifeline for the community, caring for those who need it most, including:
​Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who have lost their homes
​Victims of domestic violence seeking safety and recovery
​Inclusive children and adults requiring specialized care
​Ex-military personnel currently undergoing rehabilitation
​Impoverished families and individuals living in surrounding villages
​Local animal welfare initiatives

​📦 Delivering Hope and Essential Aid

​To support the department’s incredible daily work, we delivered a diverse shipment of essential humanitarian aid aimed at improving mobility, dignity, and digital access. The delivery included:

​Mobility Support: Wheelchairs and rollers to restore independence, that were kindly supplied by Association SAU

​Digital Empowerment: Computers to help with administration, education, and re-skilling.

​Family & Community Care: Clothes for those in need and car seats to keep children safe on the road.

Today, we are incredibly grateful to share that four Tactical Evacuation Carts have been purchased for stabilization points in Kramatorsk.

A special thank you to the members of Thorhild Lions Club, Alberta, Canada, whose generous contribution covered half the cost of this project. Your kindness and commitment are making a real difference.

These two award letters recently came from the Chief Commander of the United Forced Arms of Ukraine.
Kyiv Lions are awarded for their volunteer support and activities that help the protectors of Ukraine receive so much-needed help and care. It empowers the protectors of Ukraine in their fight, as says Mykhailo Drapatyi, General Mayor, Commander of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Through KLC, the help from SAU continues its journey. Every delivery is not just logistics. It is people thinking of people, quietly making sure care can continue.
• Biggest hospital in Dnipro – Region Clinical Hospital named after II Mechnikov received enteral and parenteral nutrition, ICU consumables, otoscopes.
• OKHMATDYT Children’s Hospital – enteral and parenteral nutrition nutrition, medical supplies and alcohol wipes for medical equipment
• Vasylkiv Hospital – consumables and medical supplies, diapers, drugs to support medical teams in daily work.
• Vinnytsia Hospital – parenteral nutrition, ICU supplies, wound dressings, proctology consumables, and otoscopes.
• Zaporizhzhia Hospital – anaesthesiology consumables and drugs.

This is what a chain of support looks like:
from SAU → to Kyiv Lions Club → to hospitals → to patients.

And behind it all are people who choose to care, again and again.
