The Sunshine Girls Program is a safe and supportive space created for girls to learn, grow, build confidence, discover their talents, and prepare for a brighter future.

At Sunshine Girls, girls are given opportunities to develop practical and life skills that can help them become confident, independent, responsible, and empowered young women.

Through the program, girls benefit from:
Life skills and practical skills training, including tailoring, cooking, soap making, handicrafts, and entrepreneurship.

Menstrual health support, including the provision of sanitary pads, helping girls manage their periods safely, confidently, and with dignity.

Health and hygiene education that helps girls understand and take care of their wellbeing.

Mentorship and guidance, giving girls a supportive environment where they can ask questions, share experiences, and make positive choices.

Talent development, helping each girl discover her abilities and understand that her dreams and potential matter.

Confidence building, encouraging girls to believe in themselves and their ability to create a better future.

Environmental education and tree planting, teaching girls responsibility and care for their communities and environment.

Entrepreneurship and self-reliance skills, preparing girls for future economic opportunities.

Friendship and peer support, creating a strong community where girls learn from, encourage, and support one another.

Sunshine Girls Program is more than a learning place. It is a safe space where girls are listened to, valued, supported, and given opportunities to become the best version of themselves.

Providing sanitary pads is one of the ways we remind girls that their health, dignity, education, and future matter. We want every girl to feel confident and able to participate fully in school, community activities, and everyday life.

The Bag-Making Training Class Is Ongoing!

At Living for Others Organization, we are committed to empowering girls with practical skills that can help them build confidence, become self-reliant, and create better opportunities for their future.

Our girls are continuing to learn the art of designing, sewing, and making beautiful handmade bags. Through this training, they are developing creativity, patience, teamwork, and valuable skills that can open doors to entrepreneurship and self-employment.

We believe that when we equip girls with knowledge and practical skills, we give them the tools to shape their own future and make a positive difference in their communities.

Together, we are empowering girls, nurturing talents, and building brighter futures.

We’re excited to share that the water tower project being carried out by Living For Others is expected to be finished this week!

This important work will help provide reliable access to water and make a lasting difference for the local community. We are so grateful to see this project coming together and proud that Smiles of Hope is supporting this work.

What an exciting harvesting season it has been for Living For Others! The fields were full, the harvest was plentiful, and everyone was so excited to see the fruits of their hard work.

Thanks to the generous support of Smiles of Hope, Living For Others was able to purchase a tractor to help with the harvest —making this season even more successful and helping to strengthen the work for years to come. 🚜🌱

Today, we look back at a well that was installed 10 years ago—and we are so happy to share that it is still going strong and serving the local community! ❤️

Access to clean, reliable water can transform lives, bringing health, opportunity, and hope to families and communities.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Smiles of Hope over the years and helped make projects like this possible. Your generosity continues to create lasting change. 🙏🏾

And we are especially thankful that Anna is continuing this important work through Living For Others, bringing clean water, hope, and brighter futures to even more communities. 🌍💧

Anna sent us an update on one of the girls that received words of encouragement from the office at Alvetro Orthodontics and we wanted to share! ✏️

This is Matinde. Her mom called me this morning and said this girl struggles. Nobody knows why she never wants to go to school and runs away from home almost every week. Since she has received these words of encouragement, she sleeps with it in her bed every night. It has been two weeks now and she is still home. She told her mom that Monday she will go back to school.
Please thank all of those children who wrote these words of encouragement with love. You have no idea how much of a difference you are making.

What started as words of encouragement in the lobby of Alvetro Orthodontics traveled all the way to Nkende, Tanzania 💛
Seeing these kids holding some of the messages that you all wrote is a reminder that kindness knows no distance. Each child also received a tree to plant and grow alongside those words, seeds of hope meant to be spoken, nurtured, and grown every day. Thank you to everyone who took a moment to share hope. Your words truly reached hearts and we are so grateful! We also have to thank Living For Others for helping to make this happen!
