Afya Foundation,

Earlier, this week we got donation of amount Tsh. 70,000/= for John Frank whose suffering from Xeroderma Pigmentosum and Cancer disease.

His mum asked for a blender as he got discharged due to his condition can't be treated more so they asked them to go back home.

Which is in Tanga Town and need assistance of every month for his medication, dressing of his wounds, and ration for the boys condition.
His been feeding through pipe.

Afya Foundation,

We would like to say thank you to our few donors who contributed for the couple of weeks for the child called John Frank whose still admitted at Muhumbili hospital in Dar es salaam and his mother for the 3 times meal which cost per day 10,000.

The boy is suffering with below diseases called XP and Skin cancer too.

Xeroderma Pigmentosum - It is commonly known as XP, is an inherited condition characterized by an extreme sensitivity to ultraviolet (UV) rays from sunlight. This condition mostly affects the eyes and areas of skin exposed to the sun.

Inside his mouth there is big wound which has became a hole where his unable to eat or drink anything. And been kept food pipes in his nose.

We would like more donation for them as still they are not discharged due to the condition of the boy.

On 07th June 2025,

Afya Foundation collaborated with Al amar Charitable Foundation for Eid Ul Hajj Project.

Visited to Kilapula Majengo Mapya in Tanga town to distribute 76 underprivileged families and to our few volunteers.

We would like to convey our gratitude to the anonymous donors who contributed for 1 cow & 2 goats with all the extra costs like of slaughtering, cleaning, transportation and to our dedicated volunteers who where able to be there from start to end.

Xeroderma Pigmentosum;
It is commonly known as XP, is an inherited condition characterized by an extreme sensitivity to ultraviolet (UV) rays from sunlight. This condition mostly affects the eyes and areas of skin exposed to the sun.

There is a lady whose son name is John, whose suffering with above illness. Who is admitted almost a 1 month and 2 weeks at Muhumbili hospital in Dar es salaam.

Inside his mouth there is big wound which has became a hole where his unable to eat or drink anything. And been kept food pipes in his nose.

She asked for assistance for everydays food for 3 times per day which cost her 10,000/=.
