Some of the most meaningful moments in Tanzania don’t happen at famous landmarks. They happen in conversations. Shared meals. Village visits. Moments of laughter despite language barriers. Children waving from the roadside. Stories exchanged between people who grew up on opposite sides of the world.

Over time, we’ve realized something important:
Travel has the power to do more than help people see a place.
It can help people see each other differently.
That belief is part of what connects Winrica Adventures and Dealers of Hope Foundation Tanzania.

One focused on creating meaningful experiences. One focused on creating long-term opportunity and support for families and communities here in Tanzania. Different missions. Shared heart.

Thank you to everyone who continues to travel, support, encourage, and believe in what we are building together.

WE DID IT.

Queen’s education fund is officially FULLY FUNDED. I honestly don’t even know how to put into words what this feels like.

Just days ago, we shared Queen’s story and the dream of helping a 16-year-old girl return to school after being out of education for the last 7 years because of her disability and wheelchair needs.

Today, because of this incredible community, that dream is becoming reality.

Queen will now be able to begin her new semester with:
• tuition support
• transportation
• uniforms and supplies
• and the opportunity to continue building a future she deserves

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every single person who donated, shared, prayed, encouraged, and believed in this journey.

A special thank you to:
• Teddy Bear Crawl Foundation
• Dealers of Hope USA
• Kimberly Smith Skriba
• Jennifer L Griffith
• and our two anonymous donors

Your kindness has done so much more than raise money. You reminded a young girl that she is seen. That she matters. That her future matters.

This is what hope in action looks like. This is what community looks like. And this is exactly why Dealers of Hope Foundation Tanzania exists. Together, we are changing lives. And Queen’s next chapter begins now.

Today, we honor the mothers who carry so much that the world never sees.

The mothers who sacrifice quietly.
The mothers who keep going through uncertainty.
The mothers who stretch what little they have to make sure their children have a chance at something better.

Here in Tanzania, we see that strength every single day.

We see mothers walking long distances for water.
Mothers working tirelessly to keep children in school.
Mothers carrying hope for their families even in the middle of hardship.

At Dealers of Hope Foundation Tanzania, many of the lives we support are held together by the resilience of mothers who refuse to give up on their children’s future.

Today we celebrate them.

Their strength.
Their love.
Their sacrifice.
Their hope.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers here in Tanzania and around the world.

My heart is so full right now.

In just a short amount of time, we have already raised $600 toward Queen’s education fund. We are almost at our GOAL!!!

A huge thank you to our incredible partners at Teddy Bear Crawl Foundation for their generous $500 donation, and another huge thank you to our sister organization, Dealers of Hope USA, for contributing $100 toward her journey back to school.

Because of this incredible support, we now only need $300 more to fully reach our goal.

I honestly cannot put into words what it means to see people come together like this for a young girl who has spent the last 7 years waiting for an opportunity most people take for granted.

Queen has dreamed of going back to school for so long. And now… it’s actually becoming possible. This is what hope looks like. Not huge organizations with endless resources.

People.
Community.
Compassion.
Human beings deciding to care about one another.

Thank you to everyone who has shared, donated, commented, messaged, prayed, and supported this journey already. You are changing a life in real time.

If anyone would still like to help us reach the final $300 needed for Queen’s tuition, laptop, transportation, uniforms, and school supplies as the new semester begins here in Tanzania, we would be deeply grateful. Education changes everything. And because of all of you… Queen’s future is beginning to change too.

Many of you already know Queen and have followed her journey over the years.

Queen is 16 years old and lives with Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 1, also known as brittle bone disease. Because she requires a wheelchair for mobility, she has been out of school since she was just 9 years old.

For years, we have been searching for a school or private tutor willing to accept and work with her condition. And now… after a long wait, we have finally found a school willing to give her that opportunity.

Two years ago, I gave Queen one of my own wheelchairs, which completely changed her mobility and independence. Since then, she has continued to dream about one thing: Going back to school. Queen is bright, determined, funny, loving, and full of potential. She simply needs an opportunity.

Schools here in Tanzania operate year-round, and students are currently preparing to begin a new semester, which makes this timing incredibly important.

We are hoping to raise $900 USD to help cover:
• Queen’s school tuition
• A small laptop for schoolwork
• Uniforms
• Transportation
• School supplies
• Other educational needs that may come up along the way

We also have another child (a neighbor of Queen's) in need of school fees totaling approximately $100 USD, as they are just beginning 3rd grade. We told the family we can not promise, but that we would do whatever we can to try and help.

At Dealers of Hope Foundation Tanzania, this is why we exist.

Not just to provide temporary help…but to create long-term opportunity through education, stability, and hope.

Sometimes changing a life starts with something as simple as giving a child the chance to stay in school. Every single dollar truly makes a difference here.

If you would like to help support Queen and another child in their education journey, please donate using the link below or send me a message directly.

Thank you for continuing to believe in these families, these children, and what’s possible when people come together with compassion.

Education changes everything.

Most people come to Tanzania for the experience. The mountain. The safari. The beauty. And yes… it’s all of that. But what most people don’t expect…is how much of it stays with them long after they leave.

At Winrica Adventures, the journey doesn’t begin and end with a trip. It’s about the people you meet along the way. The guides. The porters. The families behind them. The ones who make every step on that mountain possible. For us, this has never just been about tourism. It’s about connection. It’s about understanding that every climb, every tour, every experience…is built on real lives, real families, and real stories.

That’s why what we do is directly connected to Dealers of Hope Foundation Tanzania. Because the same people who guide you up the mountain…are fathers. Mothers. Husbands. Wives. Providers. And the families behind them deserve more than just seasonal income. They deserve stability. Opportunity. A future that grows beyond the mountain.

When you travel with us, you’re not just checking something off a list. You’re stepping into something bigger.

A shared experience. A deeper understanding. A connection that goes both ways. And sometimes…what you take home isn’t just photos. It’s perspective.

If Tanzania has been on your heart, we’d love to help you experience it the right way.

Queen, also known as Janeth, has recently been blessed with a beautiful new connection.

Her father, Victor, was guiding guests through another tour company when he met two incredible women from Germany. One of them volunteers with children here in Tanzania and felt deeply moved by Janeth’s story. Since then, they have stepped in with a desire to help create real, lasting change in her life.

Through this connection, there is now hope for support with a dedicated nanny, access to education through an in-home tutor, medical care and physiotherapy, and even a potential partnership with Archemed, an organization that works with children like Janeth here in Tanzania.

They have also started a GoFundMe to help make all of this possible from sponsors in their country. We have promised Janeth that we would also share this fundraiser.

If you feel called to support Janeth’s journey, you can donate here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/hilf-janeth-ihren-weg-trotz-glasknochenkrankheit-zu-gehen?utm_campaign=fp_sharesheet&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=copy_link&lang=de_DE

Please note, the top portion of the page is in German, but if you continue scrolling, you will find the full story written in English as well.

For the past two years, we have been doing everything we can to create opportunities and support for her, and we will not stop. Seeing others step in alongside us is something we are incredibly grateful for.

Janeth deserves access, opportunity, and a future filled with possibility… just like any other girl.

Thank you for supporting her, whether through donating, sharing, or simply holding her in your thoughts.

This is the school here in Tanzania, where so many children go each day—despite the conditions.

Only two classrooms at Mshiri Primary School are currently safe for children to use.

The rest are damaged by mold, structural issues, and years of deterioration.

In September, through Climb for Hope 2026 with Teddy Bear Crawl Foundation & Dealers of Hope USA, we begin rebuilding.

Right now, we are fundraising to make it possible. Donation link is in the blog post.

As we step into 2026, we wanted to share something important with you.

Over the past two years, Dealers of Hope Foundation Tanzania has grown—not just in numbers, but in clarity. We’ve learned that lasting impact comes from supporting families and communities with intention, dignity, and transparency.

Today, we’re sharing a new blog that outlines the structure we’ve built moving forward:
• Family adoption and sponsorship
• Education and school fees
• Emergency medical care
• Community initiatives like Mshiri Primary School and Maasai Village water access
• And the general support that keeps this work sustainable

We also pause in this piece to say thank you. In 2025, because of the generosity of our Hope Dealers community, we raised $9,700 toward our long-term goal of $120,000. Every dollar mattered, and every act of support helped us move forward with greater clarity.

This blog is not just about plans—it’s about people, relationships, and choosing to walk alongside families with care.

If you’d like to read more about where we’re headed in 2026 and how support is structured, you can read the full post here:

Thank you for being part of hope in action.

As we step into 2026, Dealers of Hope Foundation Tanzania is entering a new chapter—one shaped by growth, learning, and a deeper commitment to serving families with clarity and care. Over the past two years, we have learned that meaningful impact does not come from reacting to needs alone. It come...
