In honor of 10 years of International Albinism Awareness Day, we're counting down to June 13th by dispelling myths and highlighting resources that you can share to help increase awareness!

❌ Myth ❌
All people with albinism have white, or very light hair.

✅ Fact ✅
While most people with albinism have very light hair, levels of pigmentation can vary - there are many shades of albinism! Particularly people with OA may have hair color very similar to their family members who do not have albinism.

🗓️ 24 Days left before International Albinism Awareness Day - IAAD 2024!

On June 13th of this year, the world will celebrate the 10th edition of IAAD.

Regardless of “A decade of collective progress”, 📢 much awareness-raising 📢 about our rare genetic condition remains needed for people with albinism around the world to reach the quality of life that they deserve.
