As part of the training sessions organized by for caregivers from home-based childcare centers in Buhunda Village – Misungwi, participants also engaged in practical activities on creating learning and play materials using locally available resources.

The activity focused on promoting simple, safe, affordable, and creative learning methods that can easily be applied within community settings to support children’s learning and development.

Through these practical sessions, caregivers were encouraged to use available local materials to create child-friendly learning environments that enhance creativity, participation, and early learning among young children.

TAHEA Mwanza conducted training for caregivers from home-based childcare centers in Buhunda Village at Mona Park Hall, as part of efforts to strengthen early childhood care, protection, and development within the community.

The training equipped participants with knowledge on:
• Early childhood care, growth, and development
• Child protection and safety
• Responsive caregiving
• Learning procedures for young children

The initiative aims to empower caregivers with practical knowledge and skills that contribute to creating safe, nurturing, and supportive environments for children’s healthy growth and development.

continues to mobilize communities by providing comprehensive education on early childhood development in Buhunda Village particularly in the hamlets of Ntinda, Sh*tongo, and Mwalimbe, in Misungwi District. Through community meetings, parents and caregivers are strengthened their capacity to provide responsive care to enhance cognitive, language and social emotional development.

This initiative aims to build foundation for community capacity to establish and manage home based childcare services.

Leo tunaadhimisha Siku ya Utoaji wa Chakula Shuleni Afrika – Machi 12.
Chakula shuleni sio tu lishe; ni nguvu ya kujifunza, afya bora, na ndoto za watoto wetu.

Kupitia mpango wa chakula shuleni, watoto hupata motisha ya kuhudhuria masomo, kuzingatia darasani, na kukua wakiwa na afya njema. Lakini jukumu hili haliwezi kubebwa na mtu mmoja.

Ni wajibu wetu sote jamii, wadau wa maendeleo, na serikali kuhakikisha kila mtoto anapata chakula bora na maji safi akiwa shuleni.

Kwa pamoja tunaweza kujenga kizazi chenye afya na elimu bora barani Afrika. 🌍
