Kilimanjaro Aid for Aids Orphans Kilimanjaro Aid for Aids Orphans (KAFAO) is a registered Non Government Organisation working in Tanzania, East Africa.

To create a better future for orphans and vulnerable children by providing education, food, health care and supporting them to grow up and thrive in the care of their family. KAFAO has developed Ghona Academy, which is a school in the rural area of Ghona, near Moshi. Currently we have 57 attending the school. Our youngest pupil is 4 years old and our eldest pupil is 14 years old. KAFAO has focusse

d primarily on the needs of children and young people who have been affected by HIV and AIDS. Sadly 37 out of our 57 pupils are orphans as their parents have passed away due to this deadly virus. Life is very hard for these children as the Ghona Village has no running water or electricity. KAFAO aims to support our children’s basic needs in terms of food, clothes and medical care which unfortunately these children often go without.
