Pro-Poor Oriented Foundation (PPOF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization whose mission is to facilitate socio-economic development based on self reliance, self sufficiency through effective implementation and promotion of research findings and support of integrated rural and urban development with full participation, ownership and promotion of development projects for the better people’s
livelihood. The organization focus to improve the living standard of majority Tanzanians; however the long plan of the organization is to work across the third world countries on the effort to end poverty. The organization focusing on several key areas of operations which are Agriculture, Health, Environment and climate change, Gender justice, Training, Children affairs, Education and Water. The organization is located in Kihonda Maghorofani ward, Morogoro region, Tanzania. The organization is registered by United Republic of Tanzania under the Non-Governmental Organization Act, 2002 with registration number 00NGO/00005719. Pro-Poor Oriented Foundation (PPOF) has basically focusing to improve the living standard of majority Tanzanians in all aspects of life in a way they can be self reliant and self sufficient. Pro-Poor Oriented Foundation (PPOF) does collaborate and cooperate with other national and international organizations, Government authorities, Community-Based Organization as well as relevant authorities and bodies in districts, region and national level to alleviate poverty among majority Tanzanians.
