LIP2025 has proven to be a highly successful program for Leo Kesho Organization. On 30 May 2026, we reached a major milestone with the official launch and commencement of the implementation phase of our project dedicated to the conservation and protection of natural water sources in Mbozi District, Songwe Region, Tanzania.
The project aims to safeguard critical water resources, promote environmental sustainability, and enhance the resilience and well-being of local communities that depend on these natural sources for their daily livelihoods. The successful launch marks the beginning of a long-term commitment to protecting ecosystems and ensuring sustainable access to clean water for present and future generations.
Leo Kesho Organization remains committed to working closely with local communities, government authorities, and development partners to achieve the project's objectives and create lasting environmental and social impact

Mr. Edward Lugongo, representing the Guest of Honour, the Mbozi District Commissioner, delivering remarks to stakeholders during the launch of the “Community-Led Natural Water Sources Management” project.

The project, implemented by Leo Kesho Organization, is currently being carried out across 15 wards in Mbozi District, Songwe Region, with the aim of strengthening community participation in the sustainable management and protection of natural water sources.

Leo Kesho Organization highly values collaboration and active participation from all stakeholders in the successful implementation of this project; therefore, we warmly welcome all partners and stakeholders to join us in this important initiative.

Bw. Edward Lugongo, akimwakilisha Mgeni Rasmi ambaye ni Mkuu wa Wilaya ya Mbozi, akitoa salamu na maelekezo kwa wadau waliohudhuria uzinduzi wa mradi wa “JAMII KIONGOZI MSIMAMIZI WA VYANZO ASILIA VYA MAJI”.

Mradi huu unaotekelezwa na Taasisi isiyo ya Kiserikali ya Leo Kesho katika kata 15 za Wilaya ya Mbozi, Mkoa wa Songwe, unalenga kuimarisha ushiriki wa jamii katika usimamizi endelevu na uhifadhi wa vyanzo asilia vya maji kwa manufaa ya kizazi cha sasa na kijacho.

Tunafurahia kuzindua mradi mpya unaolenga kulinda na kusimamia kwa njia endelevu vyanzo vya asili vya maji katika Wilaya ya Mbozi. Mradi huu unalenga kuimarisha umiliki wa jamii, kuboresha utawala wa maeneo husika, na kuhamasisha mbinu za uhifadhi wa mazingira ili kuhakikisha upatikanaji wa maji kwa muda mrefu na kuongeza uwezo wa jamii kukabiliana na athari za mabadiliko ya tabianchi.

Alama hizi husaidia wananchi kutambua mwisho wa shughuli zao hasa kilimo na uchungaji wa mifugo, hivyo kusaidia uhifadhi na utunzaji wa vyanzo vya maji asilia.

Kupitia mradi wa "Jamii Kiongozi Msimamizi wa Vyanzo Asilia vya Maji -Songwe/Mbeya, tutaweka alama hizi ili wananchi waweze kutambua mipaka ya vyanzo vya maji ambavyo huwasaidia kupata maji ya kutumia katika shughuli mbalimbali za kila siku.

Ewe taasisi inayojihusisha na utunzaji wa mazingira na uhifadhi wa vyanzo vya maji tunakukaribisha kuungana nasi kutekeleza mradi huu katika mikoa ya Mbeya na Songwe.

💧 Mabadiliko Kwenye Jamii Yanatuhusu Sote 💧

Mnamo tarehe 18 Julai 2025, tulikutana na baadhi ya wadau wa mabadiliko, kikao hiki cha kwanza kilichofanyika kijiji cha Ibembwa wilaya ya Mbozi.

Mikutano hii inawaleta pamoja wadau katika maendeleo ya jamii, viongozi, watu wenye ushawishi kwenye jamii ili kujifunza pamoja kwa kupeana mrejesho wa juu ya kazi inavyoendelea kwenye jamii, kubadilishana maarifa na uzoefu, na kwa pamoja kutafuta njia ya kupambana na changamoto.

Mkutano huu ni sehemu muhimu katika kushughulikia suala la Utunzaji na Usimamizi wa vyanzo vya maji katika maeneo ya vijijini - changamoto ambayo inaathiri usitawi wa maisha kwa ujumla na mazingira.

💧 Driving Change for Our Communities 💧

On 18 July 2025, we proudly hosted our first Change Network Meeting at Ibembwa village. These meetings bring together key community stakeholders, decision-makers, and change-makers to share progress, exchange insights, and strengthen solutions to pressing local challenges.

This meeting focused on tackling the urgent issue of poor management of water sources in rural areas, a challenge that impacts livelihoods, and the environment. The discussions and feedback gathered will guide our next steps toward sustainable, community-led water source management.
