Today CSP has comenced a Capacity building training on financial management and internal control systems to ASILIB-CC core partners (KIMAS, MNU, Chamwiilee Agro-Live, and UMANA) who are financially supported by Vi Agroforestry Tanzania.
The training aims at equiping leadership & management (Board chair accountant, treasury, and executive director ) with basic skills to manage financial resources responsibly, strengthen accountability and transparency, building trust among members, development partners and donors, and enhance long-term sustainability of organizations .

We’ve officially concluded Day 02 of the CSP Safeguarding Training at Hazina Hall, Babati. Building on the momentum from yesterday’s kickoff, today’s sessions delved deep into the vital areas of Anti-Corruption and Anti-Fraud policies and actions.
​By bringing together both our dedicated staff and Board members, we are ensuring that transparency and integrity are woven into every level of our organization. We leave Babati not just with new knowledge, but with a renewed commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards in everything we do.

Day one of CSP’s two-day training on Safeguarding and organizational policies successfully kicked off at Hazina Hall in Babati District, bringing together staff and members of the Board of Directors for a shared learning experience. The session focused on strengthening understanding of safeguarding principles, reinforcing accountability, and ensuring that all participants are well-equipped to uphold the organization’s standards in their respective roles. Through interactive discussions, practical examples, and active participation, attendees reflected on their responsibilities in creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all. The day was marked by open dialogue, engagement, and a strong commitment from everyone present to embed these policies into everyday practice

Meet Christina, a mother of four whose journey is a powerful story of courage and new beginnings.

After experiencing domestic violence, she made the brave decision to seek help. Through CSP’s Human Rights support, she received legal guidance and the encouragement to rebuild her life. Today, Christina is working hard to support her children through small-scale farming—growing vegetables and food crops to sustain her family.

Her journey hasn’t been easy, but it is a testament to the strength it takes to speak up, break free, and start again.

From darkness to light, stories like Christina’s remind us why access to justice and support matters.

Advancing Farmer Managed Seed Systems (FMSS) – A Promising Dialogue with Parliament

On Tuesday, the Seed Working Group (SWG) met with the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture, Livestock, Industries, and Fisheries. We had a constructive discussion on the need to recognize and support Farmer Managed Seed Systems in national policy.

The Committee agreed to get to the bottom of the matter — including the possibility of a legal framework that would allow farmers to multiply and sell native seeds, with TOSCI playing a role in verification. While not yet approved, this is an important step toward giving farmers freedom of choice between hybrid and farmer-managed seeds.

We look forward to continued engagement and follow-through.
