Tanzania Association of NGOs - TANGO

Tanzania Association of NGOs - TANGO TANGO was established in 1988 by 22 NGOs. The current membership is about 620 NGOs.

In June 2006 it received a certificate of compliance No 1907 from the National NGO Coordinating Board The organisations that subscribe to TANGO membership include about 28 district and regional NGO networks. TANGO was formally registered in January 1989 as an association under the Societies Ordinance of 1963. It has since been re-registered by compliance to the NGO Act No. 24 of 2002 that recognis

es it as a network of NGOs. Under the new legislation, TANGO has a registration certificate number 1907 issued in June, 2006.
