As a Tanzanian NGO founded in 2014, we believe that real transformation and sustainable development must rise from the grassroots up. In a participatory manner, we engage communities to participate actively in identifying and analysing the causes of their problems and we empower them to find lasting and sustainable solutions. We enable members of the community to strategically link their needs to
public policy. Also we empower them to build coalitions of community groups and local organisations to advocate these policies. We are committed to positive social transformation and we are taking into account and balance, five imperative different levels of need: the individual person, the small group, the institution, the wider society and the environment. Mashinani contributes to the creation of an enabling environment for creative, innovative and holistic community development.
