As we Commemorate International Day of People with Disabilities, we are honored to be invited by to join other stakeholders in the launch of their New Project known as UWEZO WANGU PROJECT which aim to empower women and girls with disabilities in Kibaha and Bagamoyo District, Coast Region.

With representation of our Communication Officer, Edwin Julius at this important launch we got opportunity to share experiences and learning from others about inclusion in our future programming.

We're committed to advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities and promoting inclusivity, aligning with the Convention on Rights of People with Disabilities (CRPD's) emphasis on equal access to services, education, and opportunities.

This launch highlighted the importance of collaboration and partnerships in promoting disability rights and inclusion.

We were honored to be represented by our Communication Officer, Edwin Julius, at the Youth Policy Dialogue on Tanzania's ICPD30 commitments organized by Binti Salha Foundation!

This event was a great platform for us to learn, share knowledge, and experience with other youths and stakeholders on ICPD.

Through this Youth Policy Dialogue we saw potential advocacy pathways for promoting youth rights in accessing SRHR and ending SGBV in Tanzania, based on the ICPD commitments made by the government.

🤝 As Youthlead Organization, we're committed to advancing youth rights and SRHR education.

Today, we commemorate the life and legacy of Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere, a champion of human rights and social justice.

His vision for a just and equitable society continues to inspire us to work towards a Tanzania where every individual can live with dignity.

As we honor his legacy, we reaffirm our commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering women, girls, and youth. We join forces with other human rights defenders to build a better Tanzania for all, where human dignity is the foundation of our society.

Tarehe 11 Oktoba 2025, Halmashauri ya Manispaa ya Geita kwa kushirikiana na wadau wa Elimu na Haki za Mtoto wa k**e kutoka Shirika la Marafiki wa Elimu Geita, Human Dignity Initiative, Rafiki SDO, na Nelico wameadhimisha Siku ya Mtoto wa K**e Duniani kwenye Shule ya Sekondari Kasamwa ndani ya Mkoa wa Geita.

Siku hii ni muhimu sana kwani inaashiria umuhimu wa kuwawezesha wasichana na kuhakikisha wanapata fursa sawa katika elimu, afya, na maendeleo yao. Tunaamini kuwa wasichana wenye elimu na ujuzi wanaweza kubadilisha jamii zao na kuchangia katika maendeleo ya nchi.

Katika maadhimisho haya, yaliyofanyika kwenye Shule ya Sekondari ya Kasamwa, kwa uwakilishi wa Program Officer wetu Ms. Joyce Daudi tumeshirikiana na wadau wenzetu kuhakikisha watoto wa k**e wamepata elimu na uwezeshaji kuhusu haki zao, kujikinga na ukatili wa kijinsia, na maisha baada ya shule. Pia, wamepata fursa ya kushiriki mawazo na uzoefu wao, na kujenga uhusiano na wadau muhimu.

Tunaitaji jamii inayojali na kuunga mkono haki za wasichana ili waweze kufikia malengo yao.

"As stakeholders in education and advocates for girls' rights in Tanzania, as we mark the commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child, we urge the creation of enabling environments that support the re-entry of adolescent mothers into schools. We call for the strengthening of the Re-Entry Guidelines and harmonization of laws, particularly the Education Regulation Act (2002), to align with re-entry directives. Furthermore, we urge the government to enact a specific law to operationalize these guidelines, ensuring that every girl child has access to education and a bright future.

Kwenye kuadhimisha Siku ya Mtoto wa K**e Duniani Leo 11/10/2025,

HUMAN DIGNITY INITIATIVE (HDI) tunaungana na wadau wengine watetezi wa Haki za mtoto wa k**e kwenye kusisitiza kuimarisha Elimu na ustawi wa kuwawezesha Wasichana kwenye Kujenga Kesho Yao nzuri kwa kuendelea kuhamasisha mabadiliko ya sera, sheria, mila na desturi kandamizi zinazoweka vikwazo kwa watoto wa k**e kwenye changamoto mbalimbali ikiwemo za:

- Mimba za utotoni
- Ndoa za utotoni
- Ukeketaji
- utekelezaji wa muongozo wa Mabinti waliokatiza masomo kwasababu za ujauzito (Re-entry) kurejea shuleni.
