🚨 Raising Awareness to Prevent Human Trafficking

The GAD Eastern Zone Coordinators recently conducted awareness-raising activities on human trafficking in Singida, reaching two schools and one parish.

The awareness sessions aimed to equip students and community members with knowledge about the risks and dangers of human trafficking, how to identify potential situations of exploitation, and the importance of speaking up and seeking help when necessary.

🎉 A Remarkable VICOBA Achievement for Togeza Kola Group! 🎉

Congratulations to the Togeza Kola Group for successfully completing their third VICOBA savings cycle! 👏🏾

During their share-out, group members celebrated a total savings of TZS 42,542,500, a significant increase from TZS 23,386,000 recorded at the end of their 2024–2025 cycle.

📈 What made the difference?
The increase was achieved through the members' commitment to increasing both the value of their shares and the number of shares purchased.

From One Goat to a Growing Herd! 🐐🌱

Through the “Give One, Get One Goat” scheme under the Integrated Rural Development Project in Kisarawe, beneficiaries are being supported to improve livestock keeping and strengthen their livelihoods.

A livestock officer recently provided vaccination to a project beneficiary, helping protect the goats from diseases and maintain a healthy herd.

Beneficiaries who have followed good livestock-keeping practices are now seeing an encouraging increase in the number of goats. This growth is a reflection of how proper animal care, knowledge, and community-based support can contribute to sustainable livelihoods.

Caritas DSM conducted anti-human trafficking awareness training in schools across Kisarawe District, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to recognize, prevent, and report human trafficking.

Through interactive learning sessions, students explored their rights, identified common trafficking tactics, and learned how to protect themselves and support others who may be at risk.

Building Healthier Communities, Together! 🏥🤝

A major milestone has been reached in Mlegele Hamlet, Kisarawe District, where community members, the District Council Engineer, and the Executive Director of Caritas DSM came together to identify the site for the construction of a new dispensary.

This healthcare facility is being built by Caritas DSM with generous funding from Missions for Humanity. Once completed, it will bring essential healthcare services closer to the community, improving access to quality medical care for families and contributing to better health outcomes.

We are grateful to the local community, district authorities, and our valued partner, Missions for Humanity, for their collaboration and commitment to this life-changing project.
