🌟 Great news! Catalyste+ Advisor supported Tanzania SACCOS for Women Entrepreneurs (TASWE SACCOS Ltd) to strengthen its team in key areas: customer service, problem-solving, operations management, people management, and conflict resolution.

TASWE was established in 2013 and officially launched in 2014. Its mission is to enable women entrepreneurs to save, buy shares, and access low-interest loans with minimal procedures addressing challenges like high bank rates and lack of collateral.

Because of this support, TASWE staff are now more capable than ever of guiding members women entrepreneurs and groups towards business success and financial independence. 💼✨

Our Focus Areas:

Through hands-on training, staff sharpened skills in recruitment, retention, and revenue growth—with actionable strategies like engaging members early to boost renewals. With 25% women participation and 28 attendees overall, the session was a hit! EABC praised Valerie’s expertise and personalized approach, leading to impactful recommendations across product development, research, advocacy, and more. Catalyste+ Advisor Karen Bolton working with partner Kilimanjaro Luxury Tented Camps(KLTC) on kitchen, food & beverage management and quality assurance in Kilimanjaro region located in the northern part of Tanzania. Exiting updates after the training KLTC added tasty new snacks like kebabs, plantain, and chocolate cake, improved room comfort with better lighting and A/C, made kitchen tools easier to access, and even added fresh garden flowers for stunning food presentation. Plus, the team (management & staff) is leveling up with training in leadership, hygiene, and communication!

Catalyste+ Advisor Lorraine Legault teamed up with Media Aid for Indigenous & Pastoralist Communities (MAIPAC) to strengthen their proposal writing and development skills. During her visit, Lorraine immersed herself in the Maasai culture, joining MAIPAC’s Gender Officer, Ms. Loveness, and the local community in traditional attire.

The training led to impactful results: improved skills in need assessments, editing, and persuasion; submission of two proposals; and updates to MAIPAC’s website content. Lorraine also introduced tools for organizing files and accessing funding opportunities, laying the groundwork for future work on website upgrades and content creation.
