We are grateful to the - TIIF for the opportunity to contribute to the discussion on Technical Assistance and SME investment readiness.
CEED Tanzania participated in conversations with fellow Enterprise Support Organizations (ESOs) Ennovate Ventures and on how structured and tailored technical assistance plays a critical role in strengthening SMEs beyond access to capital.
We emphasized that effective TA must be responsive to the stage, sector, and specific operational needs of entrepreneurs. A one-size-fits-all approach is often insufficient. SMEs require targeted support that addresses real gaps in governance, systems, financial management, and operational readiness in order to become truly investment ready.
Through our engagement, we also shared CEED’s approach to investment readiness programming and Impact Measurement and Management (IMM), and how these structured interventions help entrepreneurs strengthen internal systems, improve decision-making, and better align with investor expectations.
We appreciate TIIF for convening this important ecosystem dialogue and for creating space to exchange ideas with organizations working to strengthen enterprise support in Tanzania.
