On 22 May 2026, we proudly handed over a newly constructed toilet facility to Sendo Primary School, marking an important step toward improving sanitation, health, and the learning environment for students.

Access to safe and clean sanitation facilities helps prevent waterborne and hygiene-related diseases such as diarrhea, stomach infections, and other illnesses that can negatively affect school attendance and academic performance. Through this project, we are contributing to a healthier, safer, and more dignified environment where children can learn and thrive.

This achievement was made possible through the power of partnership and community collaboration. We extend our sincere appreciation to Mikuyu Tanzania for their generous support, Babati Town Council for their co-investment in the project, and the Sendo community for their valuable contribution of labor, bricks, and foundation stones that helped bring this vision to life.

Together, we are demonstrating that sustainable development is strongest when communities, local government, and development partners work hand in hand.

Last week, we had the honour of hosting in action who visited us and we paid visit to our ongoing projects such as Farming for Regeneration (FFR) and Tree for Life Project.

It was a meaningful opportunity to share our field progress, exchange ideas, and reflect on how regenerative practices are restoring soils, improving biodiversity, and strengthening rural livelihoods.

One of the powerful lessons from the field is that with regenerative and well-managed farming systems, just one acre of land can be enough to sustainably feed a family of six for an entire year.

🌱 Exciting things are growing at our Gendi Market Garden! Children are getting hands on experience learning valuable agricultural skills as they care for bananas, papayas, avocados, beans and nutrient-rich moringa trees. This vibrant garden will not only support the school’s income but also ensure students receive healthy nutrition.
A huge thank you to our wonderful community for their incredible support, including digging holes for fencing and planting crops, which has made this project a true team effort. Together, we’re sowing seeds for a brighter, healthier future!
Thank you so much Mikuyu Tanzania for your support for this project 🍌🥑🍃

Last week, our Managing Director Yohana Jastin participated in a joint forum between the government and civil society organizations on sustainable youth development. The guest of honor was Hon. Joel Arthur Nanauka from the President’s Office for Youth Development.
It was a great honor to meet with government leaders and various stakeholders working with youth and to exchange experiences and ideas for sustainable youth empowerment.

Yesterday Impact Lead Tanzania was celebrating two years of Impact and Resilience.
Over the past two years, we have proudly implemented 22 projects spanning education, sustainable livelihoods, environmental conservation, and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH). Together, these initiatives have touched the lives of 4,027 people, strengthened collaboration with 5 dedicated partners, and deepened our engagement with government stakeholders.
Our journey has also seen the growth of our team to 6 committed staff members and 6 active board members, all working hand in hand to drive lasting change.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to board, management, team and all our partners including government who have walked alongside us on this journey. A special appreciation goes to Mikuyu Tanzania for their tireless fundraising efforts that have fueled our mission.
Happy birthday to us.
