A memorable day for the Class of 2026 🎓

Last weekend, students, families, staff, alumni, supporters and invited guests came together to celebrate the graduation of our Form 6 students at St Jude’s.

The ceremony was filled with heartfelt speeches, performances, laughter and reflection as students marked the end of an important chapter in their educational journey.

Graduation is more than receiving a certificate, it is a celebration of years of hard work, growth, friendships and the many people who have supported students along the way.

As our graduates prepare for the next stage of their journey, we congratulate them on this milestone and wish them all the best for the future ahead.

When Theresia joined St Jude’s, she already loved computers, despite never having used one.

Raised by a single mother supporting four children, in rural Tanzania, access to technology simply wasn’t possible.

Today, through her education, Theresia, is learning coding languages and developing programs,building her future in computer engineering.

We know, our resources need upgrading with many computers over 10 years old and limiting the capacity of students. You can help equip students with the technology they need to not just keep up with technology, but lead with it.

We love visitors at St Jude’s💙

Earlier this year, we hosted a group of students and staff from Culver Academies who travelled to Arusha for a cross-cultural learning experience with our school community.

These visits give students from both schools the opportunity to connect, learn from one another and share experiences that broaden their understanding of the world around them.

We are grateful to the Culver community for continuing to visit and engage with our students.

Moments like these highlight the value of hands- on experiences, where students learn through shared activities and cultural discovery.

The future of education is evolving and St Jude's needs your support to prepare for the next step forward as a new national curriculum rolls out.

As coding and digital learning become increasingly important in schools and future careers, this year we are focused on upgrading technology, improving learning spaces and investing in our teachers with the training they need.

These changes will help ensure our students are equipped with the resources they need to not just keep up but to lead.

Already, more than 90% of St Jude's alumni secure employment within 12 months of graduating, showing our impact. We need to invest now in digital resources to continue leading the path for the next innovators, leaders and changemakers of Tanzania.

Exploring future careers through innovation and learning 💡

Last weekend, we held our 2026 Career Day at St Jude’s Girls’ Secondary School under the theme “Innovate, Automate and Integrate.”

Career Day is part of our wider commitment to holistic education, helping students make informed decisions about their future while building confidence and ambition along the way.

Students had the opportunity to engage with professionals from different industries including technology, engineering, health, education, business and more.

Climbing for a cause 🏔️

As some of you may have seen, our Kili Trek fundraiser is officially underwa This July, one of our very own will take on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro...introducing Georgie!

Georgie works in our Marketing department and will be joined by 19 others from Australia as they tackle Africa's highest peak together to help raise funds to further the school's mission of free, quality education.

Georgie is nearly halfway to her fundraising goal and every donation, big or small, helps make a difference.

Recently, our students celebrated Cultural Day, an event that highlights the many Tanzanian communities represented within our school.

Throughout the day, students showcased their cultural traditions through dance, art, storytelling and fashion, creating a vibrant and meaningful experience for everyone invoved.
