Meet the selfless brain behind JANGO ECOVILLAGE COMMUNITY.

Maama Mkuwa Likokola is the mother/founder and Managing Director of the Jango Ecovillage community located in the heart of Zanzibar.

As a senior leader formally a woman Member of Parliament in the Tanzanian government, she has prior knowledge about organizing and empowering communities.
In her role as the mother of Village Community Banking (VICOBA) a financial model now operating in more than 10 African countries, she has interacted with several communities and societies that have inspired her to initiate an ecovillage for diversity.

She has garnered enough experience in management, organizing, leadership, coordination, training transformation, working with young people, and planning. Her main duty is to work closely with investors, volunteers, and potential project funders who have a dream of investing and changing lives on the Island.

Mama Devota, is very proud of you and together we shall work towards our vision of creating an independent transformation training hub, a sports center on the Island, and a conducive accommodation for investors, tourists, and those who will be coming to the Island to find their inner peace. A hub for permaculture training that is inclusive, while providing equal opportunities to the islanders and continuously changing their mindset towards living a better and dignified life.

We are thrilled to unveil the Jango Ecovillage Community General Secretary Ms. . Edna is a jolly professional accountant who has worked with Jango now close to two years.

Edna is blessed with different life skills on top of her profession, but most importantly, she has a gift of empowering and teaching others how to transform their lives. Because at Jango, Transformation is a key value, Edna volunteers as a life transformation coach for the community members. She has done a commendable job in that area and many individuals have testimonies about how she has impacted their lives.
