CASEE (Community Aid and Social Education Empowerment) is looking for a qualified, passionate, and competent individual to fill the position of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer.

​ Location: Arusha, Tanzania (with extensive field work in Karatu, Longido, and Kondoa districts).

​Key Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, or related field (Master's degree is an added advantage)
2. At least 4 years of hands-on experience in M&E.
3. Proficiency in data analysis tools (Kobotoolbox, SPSS, STATA, Excel, etc.).

Through the Empowering Schools as Change Agents for Sustainable Conservation and More Food Security project, CASEE and IKI Small Grants are working hand in hand with schools, farmers, and local leaders to inspire environmental stewardship, improve food security, and build resilience against climate change.

Today, children are becoming environmental ambassadors, farmers are embracing sustainable practices, and communities are taking collective action to protect natural resources for future generations.

This is more than a project it's a movement towards greener schools, stronger communities, and a more sustainable Tanzania.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION & FOOD SECURITY IN KONDOA: STRENGTHENING LOCAL BY-LAWS⚖️

For environmental change to be truly sustainable, it requires more than just good intentions it demands strong governance and robust legal frameworks.

Through our project, Empowering Schools as Change Agents for Sustainable Conservation and More Food Security, CASEE believes that lasting transformation happens when schools and communities unite under a solid regulatory foundation.

This impactful initiative actively engages 10 Schools and 10 Villages within the Kondoa District that are implementing and benefiting from the project firsthand. Strengthening local by-laws is essential to safeguarding the significant environmental and agricultural investments being made across these schools and communities.

What does this strategy aim to achieve across the 10 Schools and 10 Villages?

1. Protecting Trees and School Gardens: Establishing strict oversight and penalties for intentional damage to school trees, gardens, and water sources.
2. Ensuring Food Security: Preventing livestock intrusion or unauthorized human activities from disrupting school farms, ensuring a reliable harvest to feed our students.
3. Village School Synergy: Every citizen in these 10 villages and every student in these 10 schools becomes an active guardian of the environment under these legal frameworks.

When environmental education is backed by enforceable by-laws, it builds a culture of accountability that lasts for generations. A greener Kondoa is possible! 🌍💪🏾

Heri ya Saba Saba! 🇹🇿

Katika maadhimisho ya Saba Saba, CASEE inaungana na Watanzania wote kusherehekea juhudi, ubunifu na mchango wa kila mmoja katika kujenga jamii imara na maendeleo endelevu.

Tuendelee kushirikiana kuwekeza katika elimu, utunzaji wa mazingira na uwezeshaji wa jamii kwa Tanzania yenye ustawi kwa vizazi vya sasa na vijavyo.

Jana, tarehe 30 Juni 2026, CASEE tulishiriki kikamilifu katika Maadhimisho ya Siku ya Mtoto wa Afrika ngazi ya Wilaya yaliyofanyika katika Viwanja vya Mazingira Bora, Karatu.

​Maadhimisho haya yalipambwa na kaulimbiu isemayo: “Mtoto ni Malezi; Msingi wa Familia Bora kwa Taifa Imara.”

​Katika maadhimisho hayo, Mkuu wa Wilaya ya Karatu, Mhe. Dkt. Lameck Karanga, alisisitiza umuhimu wa kuimarisha ulinzi wa watoto kupitia malezi na makuzi bora. Pia, alitoa shukrani za dhati kwa wadau mbalimbali (akiwemo CASEE) kwa mchango wao katika kuhakikisha watoto wanapata ustawi na salama.

​Kwa upande mwingine, Mkurugenzi wa Halmashauri ya Wilaya ya Karatu, Ndg. Juma Hokororo, aliwahimiza wazazi na walezi kuwajenga watoto katika misingi ya maadili na dini.

​Kama wadau, CASEE tunaamini kabisa kuwa uwekezaji katika ustawi wa watoto ndio hatua muhimu ya kulijenga taifa lenye maendeleo endelevu na viongozi bora wa baadaye.
