Our President Ambassador Andrea Sing-Ying Lee joined the 2026 Executive Study Mission for Taiwan’s Asset Management Industry to Italy from September 5 to 12 as an invited Senior Advisor. The delegation was organized by the Securities & Futures Institute (SFI) of Taiwan 財團法人中華民國證券暨期貨市場發展基金會.
During the visit, the delegation met with leading Italian financial and asset management institutions, including Eurizon Capital, the asset management arm of Intesa Sanpaolo, Italy’s largest banking group, Generali Asset Management, part of Generali Group, Italy’s largest insurance group, Borsa Italiana (the Italian Stock Exchange), part of Euronext, Europe’s leading capital market infrastructure group; and Gruppo Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Italy’s leading promoting institution for national development.
The mission provided an important opportunity for senior executives from Taiwan’s asset management industry to gain first-hand insights into Italy’s asset management, banking, insurance, and capital market sectors, while strengthening professional exchanges and potential financial cooperation between Taiwan and Italy.

Yesterday we held our Members Networking Day kindly hosted by our Member CRIF Taiwan - 中華徵信所. At the beginning of the event there was an insightful session by CRIF introducing their activities and company history, showing their success story of an Italian company investing in and becoming one of the most important domestic business information agencies, plus a short seminar on KYB/KYC practices with European customers.

After that, in pure Italian style, we held our Aperitivo for the real networking among the Members and guests.

Today marks its 80th as a after the Constitutional Referendum on the 2nd of June 1946 where the People chose to make the a Republic ending the Savoy Monarchy.

Yesterday, hosted by the 台北市進出口商業同業公會, we held our Seventh Board of Directors meeting for the first term and our Second Annual General Meeting. We turned one year old!

It was a good exercise to show all the activities we held during our first year of operations, quite a feat to manage to organise this flurry of events and manage to get traction starting from scratch.

During the AGM, the financial accounts, budget and working plan for 2026 have been approved showing the trust the members have in the administration by the Board and the Executive Committee. Furthermore, the official communication to all members of the establishment of the Banking and Finance Committee was release with Chris Cottorone and Matteo Serone appointed as Co-Chairs. Also the establishment of the Technology and Energy Committee was approved.

We thank Luigi Raffone, our Honourary Member Director of the Italian Trade Agency - Taipei Office 義大利經濟貿易文化推廣辦事處貿易組 for his speech while representing the Director of the 義大利經濟貿易文化推廣辦事處 Italian Economic, Trade and Cultural Promotion Office and for announcing the establishment under his office of an FDI desk which will be led by Chris Cottorone in cooperation with the New York State Taiwan Trade Office.

Thanks to all the members who joined us in person and online, we wouldn't be here without you all.

And now onwards and upwards with the second year!

What a way to close our first full year of activities!

The Taiwan-Italy Financial Cooperation Workshop was an astounding success with incredible participation by local banks, financial associations and industry participants.

Hosted by our partners 台灣金融研訓院, which were among the co-organisers together with the Securities and Futures Institute, the Office of International Affairs of the 國立臺灣大學 National Taiwan University and our Founding Member Eurizon Capital Asia Limited and the 義大利經濟貿易文化推廣辦事處 Italian Economic, Trade and Cultural Promotion Office as Advisory Organisation.

Our President Andrea Sing-Ying Lee was specially invited by the Senior Members Fellowship of the Kaohsiung International Junior Chamber of Commerce at its 584th monthly meeting on the evening of the 8th at the Lees Hotel in Kaohsiung. Chairperson Hsu Shih‑jung to deliver a lecture titled “International Etiquette and Professional Image Management".

We thank them for this prestigious opportunity to help local businesses better navigate international deals and practices.
