本會之任務如下：
一、 研究多元教育之理論與實務運用的發展。
二、 協助規劃多元教育在台灣教育系統之發展策略。
三、 辦理多元教育研習、研討及訓練活動。
四、 編印多元教育刊物、教材及叢書。
五、 定期舉辦弱勢(含偏鄉地區)兒童公益活動暨推廣多元教育各類免費相關課程。
六、 提供多元教育資訊及連絡相關工作者從事交流。
七、 其他符合本會宗旨之相關事項。
