本協會於民94年依法設立，非以營利為目的之社會團體，成立至今已近二十年，致力推動社區服務及長輩關懷。
本協會除獲得台中市政府評鑑為績優單位，更在104年榮獲行政院衛福部舉辦第一屆「金點獎」之「金點之星」團體獎項，長期對長輩關懷照顧的付出被政府及社會肯定。
本於關懷社區長輩的心志，本協會先由一週一次的健康促進活動，到十四年前開始一週三次的銀髮活力加油站，進到102年四月成立日間托老服務（方舟長青快樂學堂，又稱托老所），
