你一定聽過以下的自我介紹，或者你在下個聚會或面試中就打算這樣介紹自己：「我是###，我是OO人，我在OOO當工程師，我的興趣是......」這樣的自我介紹尤其在很多人一起介紹的時候就會成為「過眼雲煙」，無法留下深刻的印象。
許多經理人或演說寫作教練對於自我介紹，提供了關於內容上的建議，例如介紹自己的職業時與其只提職稱、太專業的用詞，可以多敘述自己在工作上解決什麼問題，以及需要什麼樣的能力等。
至於在工作以外較為輕鬆的場合中，則有更大的彈性可以用更有創意的方式介紹自己，例如可以用隨身物品當成道具，介紹自己會帶這樣物品的原因，以及自己的個性為何，像是在皮夾裡放家人的照片象徵重視家人，總是帶手錶因為自己是個守時的人等等，透過物品與故事的連結讓自己的介紹詞 #更獨特 #更有記憶點
自我介紹不過是短短幾分鐘的事，但是我們如果把這種跳脫制式、俗套的思維運用在介紹自己的事業、產品時，能夠帶來的效益絕對遠遠大於介紹自己。
