Things I Decided Not to Buy/Own⭐
Minimalism(極簡主義)
Voluntary Simplicity(自願簡樸)
Zero Waste(零浪費)
Capsule Wardrobe(膠囊衣櫥)

English Night Recap | Things I Decided Not to Buy/Own
Last Friday night, we explored what we choose not to buy or own.
In a world overflowing with products, “not possessing” has become a personal choice and attitude.
One chose not to own a certain brand of smartphone, to avoid being influenced by the mainstream.
Another gave up the iPad, since mobile phones and computers already meet daily needs.
Someone renounced cheap, low‑quality products, noting that “cheap” often leads to more consumption.
One decided not to buy or use motorcycles due to trauma from past accidents.
Another believed that everyone can buy or own anything they want—there is no such thing as “not owning”—yet still preferred to buy less.
Together we concluded: not owning doesn’t mean lacking, it means choosing.
It reminds us that value comes not only from what we buy, but also from what we let go.
Around the world, there are movements advocating reduced consumption and ownership, such as Minimalism, Voluntary Simplicity, Zero Waste, and Capsule Wardrobe.
All of these connect to the idea of declutter—removing excess goods to simplify your space and life.
