The Association of Funeral Professionals of Trinidad and Tobago (AFPTT) is dedicated to serving the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago as well as the funeral homes that are members of the association. The AFPTT has outlined a Code of Conduct for funeral homes operating in Trinidad and Tobago which assures the highest levels of professionalism within the industry and protects consumer interests. The A
ssociation of Funeral Professionals of Trinidad and Tobago (AFPTT) was founded in 2011 to formulate guidelines for the safe and ethical operations of the industry. The Aims and Objectives of the Association are:
• To safe guard the interest of the consuming public and to offer the highest standards of service to the bereaved.
• To ensure that the body of the deceased person is treated with dignity and utmost respect.
• To be the singular representative for the funeral service industry in matters related to the formulation of national laws and standards including funeral home licensing laws and constitutional reform.
• To promote friendly in*******se, fellowship and united action among its members and other persons or organizations involved with the Profession or any other related field.
• Too lease and collaborate with any institution or body (whether national or international) having similar interests and where appropriate, to seek affiliation or membership in such bodies.
• To advise or assist members of the Association with regard to any matter affecting their professional character or interests.
