Being Better Foundation Hosts Successful 2025 Children’s 🧒 👦 Camp! 🌟
Empowering Youth through the SDGs

From August 11th–22nd, 2025, the Being Better Foundation proudly hosted its annual Children’s Camp at the Tunapuna Community Centre, welcoming 45 enthusiastic participants from the community and surrounding areas.

Over two weeks, children engaged in a dynamic program of learning, creativity, and fun while gaining awareness of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) UN Sustainable Development Platform Workshops and activities covered important topics like anti-bullying, cyber safety, children’s rights, financial literacy, mental well-being, and environmental sustainability.

✨ Highlights included:
✔️ Academic support in Mathematics & Phonics 📕
✔️ Hands-on projects like tie-dyeing, soap-making, seed-to-harvest gardening 🧑‍🌾
✔️ Sports, arts, vision board creation & team-building challenges 🏈
✔️ Vibrant closing ceremony with certificates, school supplies & special awards 🥇

Through these experiences, children built confidence, resilience, and life skills to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to our partners who conducted workshops — Ministry of Planning, Economic Affairs and Development, Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries, CLICO Credit Union Co-operative Society Limited, Trinidad and Tobago Fire Services Tunapuna— and to our dedicated volunteers whose commitment brought this camp to life.

🚀 Looking ahead, we are excited to launch our Homework and Skills Development Centre for the 2025/2026 academic year, ensuring continued support and empowerment for our nation’s youth.

Being Better Foundation distributes School Bags and Supplies to fifty (50) children at Camp Graduation 2025

The Being Better Foundation proudly hosted the graduation ceremony of its 2nd Annual Children’s Camp 2025, under the theme “Empowering Youth through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”

This year’s camp brought together nearly 50 enthusiastic children, who participated in two weeks of fun, learning, and empowerment. The closing ceremony celebrated not only their growth and achievements but also their bright futures ahead.

As part of our mission to prepare young people for success, each of the (50) children received a school bag filled with essential back-to-school supplies. This gesture reflects the Foundation’s dedication to ensuring that every child is equipped and ready for the new academic year.

The graduation event was filled with joy, smiles, and a sense of accomplishment. From cultural performances to displays of what they learned about the SDGs, the children demonstrated confidence, teamwork, and a renewed passion for lifelong learning.

The Being Better Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to all parents, and volunteers who made this camp possible. Together, we continue to build a generation of children who are not only academically prepared but also socially conscious and ready to lead change in their communities.

🌟 Being Better Foundation Children’s Camp 2025 – Day 1 Recap! 🌟

What an AMAZING start to our 10 days of fun, learning, and growth here at the Tunapuna Community Centre! 🎉

Today our campers dove right in:
🧮 Mathematics – sharpening problem-solving skills.
🔤 Phonics – building strong reading foundations.
🤝 Team Building & Sports – learning the power of teamwork while having a blast!
