COMMUNITY OUTREACH & DONATION DRIVE

Do you have children's clothing that no longer fits? School bags your children have outgrown? Books, shoes, or supplies sitting unused at home? Note must be in good condition.
Bring them along and help bless another family in need.

At Barter for Babies Foundation, we believe in sharing what we have so that everyone can benefit. While you come to receive a blessing, you can also be a blessing to someone else.

When you arrive, simply ask for Van Putten Kelly to drop off your donations and collect any items your family may need.

We will have clothing, books, school supplies, toys, and more available for families.
Together, we can reduce waste, support one another, and make sure every child has the opportunity to start the new school term with confidence.

Message from Barter for Babies Charity

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has reached out to us for assistance and support. Over the past weeks, we have received more than 200 messages from families and individuals in need.

While we truly wish we could respond and assist everyone immediately, we ask for your patience and understanding as we work through this process.

Please remember that our team is also busy collecting donations, sorting items, packing packages, and organizing distributions.

Not too long ago, we hosted a charity event where we gave out almost everything we had available, and we are now in the process of collecting supplies again. This process takes time before we are able to sort, organize, and distribute items fairly to those on our list.

To help us speed up the process and avoid delays, we kindly ask that when sending a message requesting assistance, you include the following information immediately:
• Your full name
• What assistance you need
• Child’s age
• Child’s gender
• Clothing/shoe sizes

Providing this information upfront helps save time, as we are unable to ask the same questions repeatedly while managing hundreds of messages.

Everyone who contacts us is being added to our assistance list, and we will reach out as items become available.

Thank you again for your patience, understanding, and continued support. Together, we can continue helping families and children in need.

Some children in our country are still living in galvanize homes without basic necessities. At barterforbabies charity we continue trying our best to assist families and children in need, even with limited resources.
Every month we are in need of food items, toiletries, diapers, wipes, clothing for children of all ages and sizes, and even adult clothing since some older children wear adult sizes.

We are asking the public to consider putting aside a small monthly contribution when doing your grocery shopping. It does not have to be money.

Choosing just 3 items each month can make a difference to one family.
Examples include:
• Toilet paper
• Toothpaste
• Soap
• Milk
• Cereal
• Peanut butter
• Flour
• Rice
• Macaroni
• Oats
• Pampers
• Wipes
• Baby cream
• Deodorant
When many people each give a little, together we can help a lot.

We as a people need to do better. We cannot continue to shame and bully people who have reached a place where they feel they have no one to turn to for help.
We are quick to post how saddened we are when someone commits su***de or when babies are abandoned, but when a desperate mother finds the courage to ask for assistance, many choose to humiliate her instead of helping.
Asking for help should not be treated as a crime. Sometimes people are simply trying to survive and care for their children the best way they can. A little compassion, understanding, and kindness can go a very long way.

Due to the negative and hurtful comments made under the previous post, we will no longer be sharing this mother’s contact information. Our priority is protecting her privacy and emotional well being during this difficult time.

Instead, you can drop of at our bin at the Queens Park Oval Elizabeth Street entrance any day or time.

A mother in the Arima area is reaching out for urgent assistance for her 2 month old premature baby girl. She is currently in need of:

She shared that she is currently unemployed and going through a difficult time, any assistance would mean a lot to her and her baby.

We are seeing more and more young girls suffering from abuse, abandonment, neglect, and emotional trauma.

Some feel hopeless, alone, and without a safe place to turn.

Abusive relationship (Sucide)
URGENT SUPPORT NEEDED FOR YOUNG MOM & NEWBORN BABY.

A 19 year old mother has just given birth to a baby boy and is in desperate need of help. A few days ago, she attempted to take her own life and life of her unborn baby due because of abuse, being overwhelmed and without support.

Today, she is still here, and she wants to live. She regrets that moment and is asking for a second chance for herself and her baby.
Right now, she has no stable place to go and no support system.
We are reaching out to anyone who can assist with Emergency shelter or a safe home
Pampers and baby supplies
Clothing for a newborn baby boy
Any form of support, guidance, or resources

Let’s come together and show this young mother that there IS hope, there IS help, and she is NOT alone.

barterforbabies Charity has received some really lovely beds to give to families in need. These were high quality beds, and it was truly my pleasure to donate them to people who may never have had such nice things before. Everything was delivered to relevant families in need and to social workers who are assisting some of those families.
We sincerely appreciate all the donations and the patience shown while we paid and arrange transport and worked to get the job done.
