On the 28th September 2022, the Minister of Sport & Community Development officially handed over the newly constructed community centre to the community of Tacarigua. The village council was entrusted to generate activities and encourage the residents to use the facilities to build Trinidad & Tobago further.

Loving and unapologetically herself, Ms. Norma never failed to be of service to her community, Tacarigua. For over 40 years, she faithfully served on the Tacarigua Village/Community Council, dedicating her time, wisdom, and heart to the people around her.
The Council takes this time to extend sincere condolences to her family and friends.
Ms. Norma, we the Council will miss you dearly—your humor, your warmth, and the strong voice that led us in prayer each time we gathered. Your presence and spirit will never be forgotten.
