Before the gates open, the medicine is already counted out.
This is what a normal morning looks like at Animals Alive TT. Not the rescue day. Not the adoption day. Just Tuesday.
Some of our residents are diabetic. Their blood sugar gets tested twice a day, every day — a small prick on the ear, a drop of blood, thirty seconds of waiting. Then breakfast: bowls measured one by one for the seniors, the puppies, and the ones still putting weight back on. Then the horse. Then we wash it all down and do it again tomorrow.
Over 500 animals. Every single day.
Chronic care doesn't make for dramatic photos. It just has to happen — whether or not anyone is watching.
That's what your donations actually pay for. Test strips. Insulin. Feed. The unglamorous, unmissable daily work of keeping 500+ animals alive.
Animals Alive TT is a no-euthanasia rescue in Trinidad & Tobago. Every animal here stays until they find a home — however long that takes.
