Today marks the beginning of Baby Loss Awareness Week — a time to raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss, drive meaningful change, and remember our much-missed and much-loved babies. 🩷🩵
Baby Loss Awareness Week means so much to so many people. Behind every story is a family, a journey, a memory, and a love that will never fade. As we begin our Trip Down Memory Lane through the journey of the Zafeiri Foundation Initiative, from 2018 to the present, we start with the letter C — Community Engagement.
From the beginning, we committed ourselves to connecting people, creating safe spaces, and building a community where no one has to navigate baby loss alone. Through our support meetings, community gatherings, awareness initiatives, shared experiences, and moments of remembrance, we have continued to bring people together in love, understanding, and compassion. We have listened to stories that needed to be heard, created spaces for conversations that were once difficult to have, and reminded families that their grief is valid, their babies matter, and their love deserves to be remembered.
Our journey has taught us that community is more than coming together. It is about showing up for one another, holding space for grief, offering comfort without judgment, and reminding every bereaved parent that they are not alone. Every gathering, every conversation, every hand held, and every story shared has helped strengthen the community we continue to build.
