Trinidad and Tobago Chinese Cultural Network

Trinidad and Tobago Chinese Cultural Network The TTCCN was established to educate Trinbagonians on the culture and concerns of our Chinese community, both locally-born and recently-migrated.

Historically, the Chinese community in Trinidad and Tobago has not been the most vocal one. However, a recent event created an opportunity for us to come together and set straight some of the misconceptions about our culture and history locally, as well as address the issues of xenophobia and discrimination in our country. This is especially important as Trinidad prides itself in being a home for

every creed and race. A group of like-minded individuals came together to discuss what could be done to educate the public on the concerns of the Chinese community, both those that are locally-born and recently-migrated. We hope to foster a higher level of integration and mutual appreciation, so that we can move forward to a place of empathy and deepened understanding. This developed into the Trinidad and Tobago Chinese Cultural Network (TTCCN), which we hope will become a hub of information on these issues, contributing to making our country a more unified place that is safe for all to co-exist without fear and ignorance.
