Trinidad and Tobago Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (TTEITI) On December 8, 2010, the Government announced its decision to re-apply for membership of the EITI.

The Trinidad and Tobago Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (TTEITI) is a coalition of government, industry and civil society on issues of transparency and accountability in Trinidad and Tobago's Extractive Industries (oil, gas and mining). ncy Initiative (EITI). A 19 member tripartite Steering Committee (TTEITI Steering Committee) comprised of a chairman with a Civil Society background, government representatives (6), privately-owned company representatives and civil society representatives (4) implements the EITI, in accordance with a Cabinet mandate.
