*LOVE MATTERS*
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” ( *1 Corinthians 13:13* )
Valentine’s Day, celebrated every year on February 14, carries layers of meaning shaped by history, tradition, and culture. Historically, it traces back to Saint Valentine, remembered for acts of kindness and sacrifice. It is widely recognized as a day to express love. However, love is not just a feeling. It is the very heartbeat of God. Everything He does flows from love, and everything He calls you to do must be rooted in love. Faith is powerful. Hope is essential. But love is what gives both their meaning. Without love, your actions become empty, your words lose their weight, and your gifts lose their shine. Love is important because it reflects who God is. When you love, you reveal God’s character. When you forgive, when you show kindness, when you choose patience, when you extend grace, especially when it’s hard, you are demonstrating the very nature of Christ. Love is also important because it transforms. It softens hearts, heals wounds, restores relationships, and breaks down walls that pride and fear build. Love is the language every soul understands, even when words fail. And love is important because it is eternal. Everything else fades, achievements, possessions, titles, but love remains. It is the one thing you can give that never dies. Today, think of someone who needs love expressed in a practical way: your husband, your wife, your mother, father, brother, sister, friend, godchild, neighbour, whoever. That person may need a kind word, a prayer, a message of encouragement, an act of service, a call to say hello, or "how are you?” Ask God to help you love them the way He loves you, freely, fully, and faithfully, because every act of love you choose becomes a seed God can use. Love may seem small in the moment, but it carries eternal weight. It shifts atmospheres and opens doors for God to move in ways you may not see right aw
