MTB Prize Giving Ceremony | Celebrating Our Carnival Excellence 🎭🏆
The Moruga/Tableland/Barrackpore Cultural Development Committee (MTB) Prize Giving Ceremony marked the official presentation of prize cheques to the talented individuals, groups and organizations whose participation made this year’s Moruga/Tableland Carnival celebrations a resounding success.
This ceremony was more than the distribution of prizes, it was a celebration of the creativity, dedication and cultural pride that define our communities and keep our Carnival traditions alive.
Special recognition is extended to The Hon. Michelle Benjamin, MP, Minister of Culture and Community Development, whose leadership and commitment to the cultural sector have helped unlock the tremendous potential of Moruga/Tableland. Through her vision and advocacy, our communities continue to receive the support and investment needed to preserve, strengthen and elevate our rich cultural heritage.
This year also marks a historic milestone, with the largest Carnival prize payout ever awarded in Moruga/Tableland, reflecting a renewed commitment to recognizing and rewarding the hard work of our cultural practitioners.
