The Un Women Spotlight initiative in collaboration with the Matelot Police Youth Club, the Network of Rural Women Producers, Rotary Club Sangre Grande hosted a workshop titled Empower U on Saturday 4th November 2023. There were 24 participants present. Presentation were facilitated on the following topics Gender & Me, Family History and Values, Understanding Cultural Influences and Managing Emotions. The presentation were done by Steffon Alfred representing Community Oriented Policing Section, Afeisha Bethelmy representing the Matelot Police Youth Club and Tia Marie Bacchus representing the Rotary Club of Sangre Grande. There were also remarks from Arleen Sinanan also representing Rotary Club Sangre Grande and Gia Gaspard Taylor representing the Network of Rural Women Producers. Much thanks and appreciation extended fron the Matelot Police Youth Club for allowing us to be apart of this innovative and enlightening initiative. We look forward to more collaborations in the not so distant future. Network of Rural Women Producers - Trinidad &Tobago, Rotary Club of Sangre Grande.
