Invitation to a Rare and Blissful Festival
Snaan Yatra – The Sacred Bathing Ceremony
of Their Lordships Sri Sri Jagannatha Baladeva Subhadra
Location: Sri Sri Jagannatha Baladev Subhadra Mandir
Madhuvan Farm – a peaceful, green sanctuary nestled in the serene foothills of the Tamana Rainforest
Date: Sunday, 8th March 2026
Time: Starting at 1:30 PM
Venue: 13 Mile Mark, Cumuto Main Road, Coryal, Trinidad
It was the order of Lord Jagannatha to be bathed in a setting where, not only the devatas, but the people of the earth would be able to see Him. These magnificent 5-foot+ murtis, originating from the holy land of Puri, Odisha, India, manifested here in Trinidad and Tobago 35 years ago. They are the oldest Jagannatha deities in the Caribbean – and this is a truly rare opportunity to see Them so intimately. Snaan Yatra at this location has been established by experienced, world-renowned pujaris with decades of devotional experience, specially flown in from North America, who bring deep expertise in the traditional rituals of Lord Jagannatha, and joined by local pujaris, ensuring the bathing ceremony is performed with precision for potency.
Just as millions gather in Jagannath Puri for this holy day (the grand beginning of all of Lord Jagannatha’s famous yearly festivals), you can now join here in Trinidad:
- Watch (and participate in) the ecstatic and purifying bathing ceremony with streams of pure milk, yoghurt, ghee, honey, and more
- Personally get the opportunity to offer refreshing coconut water to shower Their Lordships
- Receive the special mercy – it is said that simply beholding the Lord during Snaan Yatra washes away sins and brings immense spiritual blessings.
The afternoon will be filled with:
•Soul-lifting, heart-melting, ecstatic kirtan from world-renowned kirtaniyas
•Devotional performance offerings
•A delicious, sumptuous feast
You are welcome to bring your devotion in the form of:
Flowers, fruits, fruit garlands, green coconuts, or any simple offering for Their Lordships.
