UPDATE!!!!!
Mid January 2026 we went to Italy for follow-up mainly because Amari was getting ill often as well as a lump behind his right ear. Everything went more or less well but we got another "RARE" surprise..... after MRI and a biopsy it was confirmed to be Mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC), which is a malignant tumor.
Amari did surgery shortly after to remove the tumor, which was successful. Because of the grading of the tumor Amari has to be very closely monitored for any changes this will include us coming back to Italy in 2 months.
Amari is in very good spirits despite what he is going through, he is a real warrior. At 7 years old he has encountered 2 very rare medical issues and we pray so much that he can have his normal life with no other complications. This has been a hard and confusing time for us and it still is as we navigate keeping Amari healthy. We want to continue to thank you all for keeping us in prayer. Today Amari turns 7... another big milestone for us. All we can say is thank God for all his mercies in Amari's life and we pray for him to see many many many more years to come🎉🥳🎊🎂🙏🏽

Update.....

Since Amari started school he has been doing generally well. He, however got the flu a few times as well as an infection that required hospitalization. While this is normal for most children Amari's immune system is still not at its full. Due to this, his Doctors in Italy prefers that he is seen in January 2026. We have reopened the same Gofundme in hopes of raising an additional $3000 US to assist with travelling expenses. We made it last time with your help and hope that we can reach our goal again this time.

Another milestone reached. Thank you father. Amari is still doing well. He was able to start physical primary school today. Another "normal" checked off. He was happy to go off just looking forward to hearing all the stories about school from now on. 💙😊💙😊 (Ironman pic was back to school shopping lol)
