For World Health Day 2026, we felt it is necessary to reiterate the importance of drinking water especially with our tropical climate.
✅ Some pros of water consumption.
⚖️ Maintain fluid balance for optimal bodily performance.
😭 Makes bodily fluids (tears, sweat, urine, etc.)
🌡️Manages your body temperature, keeping you cool on hot days.
💩Helps flush waste from the body.

🥵 Dehydration
📉Reduction of physical performance and endurance.
🔥 Excessive heat within the body which may cause dizzy spells and headaches. 😵💫
😖 Constipation
We are encouraged to drink no less than 2 litres of water per day. Aside from liquids, your water consumption can also come from fruits and vegetables which has a high water content, such as, watermelon, cucumbers, cabbage and watercress, to name a few. 🍉🥒🍓🥬🍊
Sodas, juices and teas also provide us with fluid.🧃🍺☕🍵 However, we are urged to be mindful of sugars and salts found in these items.
Challenge yourself to incorporate more water, fruits and vegetables into your diet. The aim is for a healthier you, healthier children, healthier community.
