Today, we honour the strength, resilience, courage, and sacrifices of our ancestors whose struggle paved the way for the freedoms we cherish today.

Emancipation is more than a moment in history, it is a reminder of the power of unity, dignity, equality, and self-determination. As we celebrate, let us also reflect on our responsibility to build communities where every person is valued, every child has an opportunity to thrive and our culture and heritage are proudly preserved.
