🌿 World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Outreach 🌿

The Bon Air Police Youth Club, in collaboration with Bashay, had the privilege of visiting the Heavenly Hands Geriatric Home  as part of our observance of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. 

The visit was a heartwarming and meaningful experience for everyone involved. Our members spent  time with the residents, engaging in fun games and conversations. One of the most memorable parts of the outreach was listening to the residents share their life stories, wisdom, and personal experiences. Their resilience, strength, and knowledge left a lasting impression on our young members.

The residents were also treated to refreshments and special treats as a token of our appreciation and love. Seeing the smiles on their faces reminded us of the importance of showing kindness, respect, and care to our elderly community.

This outreach was a wonderful success and served as a powerful reminder that our seniors deserve to be valued, protected, and celebrated every day.

The Bon Air Police Youth Club remains committed to promoting community service, compassion, and awareness. We extend our sincere thanks to Bashay, the staff of Heavenly Hands Geriatric Home, and everyone who contributed to making this event possible.

Together, let us continue to stand against elder abuse and honoured the generations who have paved the way for us. 💜

The Bon Air Police Youth Club would like to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of our two weeks Suspension Program.

Special thanks to the Chest and Heart Association, Social Worker / Councillor Ms. Maria Baptiste, Former Police Officer Ms. Liz Emmanuel, Mr. Gershwin Alexander, Founder of Professional Barbering School Mr. Donald James and the Police Officers of the Community Oriented Policing Section for taking the time to share your knowledge, experiences, and words of encouragement with our youths.

The two weeks were very impactful, educational, and well received by the students. Programs like these are truly needed as we continue to guide, mentor, and support our young people while addressing social issues and school violence within our communities.

Thank you all for your continued support, commitment, dedication, and partnership. Together, we can continue making a positive difference in their lives.

Congratulations to our very own Mariah Navarro and Venus Kirk on making the National Under-16 Netball Team!

Their dedication, passion, and hard work continue to shine both on and off the court. We are incredibly proud of them and excited to see all that they will achieve on this journey.

We look forward to seeing them represent at the Jean-Pierre Under-16 Youth Netball Tournament, taking place from April 11th to April 17th.
