On 5 May 2026, the Gaziantep Regional High School Imam Hatip MOIC Summit, organized by Gaziantep International Imam Hatip High School in collaboration with the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), Gaziantep Islam Science and Technology University (GISTU), and ÖNDER, convened its opening ceremony under the theme “One Ummah, Beyond Borders.”

The opening ceremony was attended by Ms. Zehra Ünal, Deputy Mayor of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality; Prof. Dr. Şehmus Demir, Rector of GISTU; and Mr. Mehmet Şimşek, Director of Gaziantep International Imam Hatip High School, who delivered opening remarks. Mr. Osman Tomakin, National MOIC Coordinator of Türkiye, also addressed the participants and delivered ICYF’s remarks on behalf of the Forum.

On April 29, the Education & Training Department at the ICYF Secretariat held a virtual meeting with IQRA | International Qur'an Research Association Inc.

The meeting served as an introductory platform to present the Model OIC (MOIC) program and provide an overview of ICYF’s ongoing initiatives. It also opened the door for exploring potential areas of collaboration and preparing for future joint activities aimed at empowering youth and strengthening engagement.

On April 30, a MOIC training session was held at the International Fatih Sultan Mehmet Anatolian Imam Hatip High School by the ICYF Education and Training Department.

The session was attended by the chairing committees of the Istanbul Imam Hatip MOIC Summit, which is set to be held on May 15-17.

Participants gained valuable insights and skills in anticipation of the upcoming simulation.

“One Ummah Beyond Boundaries”

Organized in cooperation with ICYF, International Gaziantep Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, and ÖNDER, this summit will bring young minds together to engage in dialogue, diplomacy, and cooperation through the Model OIC Diplomatic Simulation.

A delegation from the Education and Training Department at the ICYF Secretariat, led by the Director Dr. Mohamad Hazimeh, held a meeting with the Haydar Aliyev Eurasia Studies Research Centre at İbn Haldun University (IHU) on the sidelines of the MesGlobs Program. The delegation was received by the center's Director Dr. Yaşar Sarı.

The meeting served as a follow up on previous meetings.

The meeting laid the foundations for the upcoming MOIC Summits to be coorganized by both parties.

Under ICYF’s Messengers of Ramadan Initiative, 's National MOIC team organized an impactful month of spiritual growth and community service. From humanitarian outreach at Buea Central Prison, to educational conferences, Tafsir sessions, daily Iftar & Suhoor, Taraweeh and more, the community embodied mercy, knowledge, and solidarity reflecting the meaning of:
“مَا أَنفَقْتُم مِن شَيْءٍ مِن خَيْرٍ فَلِلَّهِ” (البقرة: 272)
(And whatever good you spend, in Allah’s way, it is for Allah) – AlBaqarah 272.

Model OIC Pakistan, under the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum initiative “Messenger of Ramadan,” is pleased to organize an Iftar Drive in collaboration with Kaar e Kamal on 11 March 2026.

During this blessed month of Ramadan, we come together in a spirit of unity, gratitude, and compassion sharing the blessings of Iftar and strengthening the bonds within our community.
