Journeys are not only for people; materials have journeys too. 🌍♻️

Some complete their purpose over and over again before their journey finally seems to come to an end.

The wooden pallets you see in the photo were repaired and reused countless times throughout their lifetime.

Just when their journey truly over, Reppatch artisans transformed them into this upcycled platform, giving the material a completely new purpose. 🪵🛠️✨

Sometimes, a journey doesn't end. It simply takes a different path. 🕊

Some lose their function in the cycle before they can even begin their journey.

The clothes you see in the photo became waste in the cycle before they could meet their owners, because they encountered a color fading problem caused by the spotlights in stores.

But Reppatch artisans transformed them into organizers, and the company’s employees added the final touches by personalizing the organizers. 🧵👐✨

A journey may end where you least expect it. Sometimes, all it needs is a new perspective to begin again. 🕊

From discarded materials to a moment of presence.

In our third workshop in Switzerland, upcycled canvases travelled from Istanbul to Zurich and found a new life through creativity, connection and care.

One of our participant said in the end:
“I was completely present. Nothing else existed. My mind got to rest.”

Sometimes, transformation is not only about what we make.
It’s about what happens within us while making it.🕊🤍

On June 6, we were at the Kadıköy Municipality Environmental Festival. 🌿

Our corporate partner, Begüm Uysal Ayerdem, joined the panel to share Reppatch’s journey and the upcycling projects we have been implementing together with companies.

During the discussion, we talked about why circularity is no longer a choice but a necessity. A sustainable future is only possible when we stop seeing materials as waste and start seeing them as resources that can continue creating value within the system.

We also shared how upcycling creates tangible impact by transforming operational waste into new products, meaningful experiences, and awareness-building stories.

We believe that every conversation about circularity is the beginning of a new transformation. 🕊️🤍
